I Have A Dream: A One Race Society · 1:47am Nov 20th, 2021

A few days ago, I had a pleasant dream of a society with only people similar to me. Gone were the other races and colors, only my own kind were to be seen walking the streets. It seemed like a nice place to be, which I commented on in the dram itself.

Now, I've heard before of others experiencing such a world, where only our people were present on television, in the stores and shops, neighborhood and and venues with our kind front and center, a society revolving around us. I've been told it was a very good experience, much more comfortable than living in the US, where daily, we are forced to see and heard others, forced to tolerate and even interact with people with different colors of skin, hair and eyes, different cultures, different backgrounds, different races.

I suppose that dream was what it must have felt like to live in that kind of place. It was a good feeling seeing only my own kind instead of the jumbled up mess of colors and shapes we have here in the US.

Of note, the one who told me of that world is actually quite tolerant, kind and accepting. So, for even them to say it felt good to live among our own kind, is something very telling. I've never been as tolerant, kind nor accepting as that individual, since I simply see no reason to be, not to you people, at least.

The thing is, I actually grew up surrounded by my own kind, with a lack of true understanding of just what was really out there in the world.

My only real experience with another skin color was with a certain classmate, who, might I add, smelled different as well. I didn't understand why they dressed differently, smelled differently and looked differently, but they did, so it was an odd little experience.

So, it's like where all those "others" whine about inclusion and representation in media. Wanting a world where everywhere you look you see yourself. That's actually why I find certain kinds to be so invasive. When I see some people, I don't see myself, I see something entirely different, thus my desire to not see those kinds of people is only natural.
