Friendship is Tragic: EPISODE 7 - Pie of the Beholder [Full Cast MLP Audio Drama] · 7:33pm Nov 7th, 2021
Finale time!
Twilight's quest to reunite her friends and rekindle her friendships has come to naught so far: Rarity is an animal-murdering capitalistic ice queen, Fluttershy horrifically brutalised by slavers, Rainbow Dash a depressive alcoholic and Applejack a violent vigilante with impulse control problems. Her last hope is Pinkie Pie - but just saying her name was enough to send Applejack into a violent spiral so finding out what happened to her might be more dangerous than Twilight thought - or more tragic than she ever imagined.
awesome!
Holy shit, Scribbler. What a project. Creepy as all hell, but absolutely amazing. Congratulations to you and everyone that was part of it on a job VERY well done, and thank you for sharing it with all of us.
When you first announced you were adapting Vermillon's story, I must admit had my doubts. I read the source material for reference, and, if I'm being honest, I did not like it in the slightest. Quite frankly, I find it little more than eight chapters' worth of Twilight stumbling from exposition dump to exposition dump… and then randomly deciding to throw herself off a bridge, rendering the preceding dirges a melodramatic farce with zero true payoff.
But now that it's all said and done, I can safely say you did a great job with it! The videos' episodic nature went hand-in-hand with the story's stylings, and the artwork and performances brought out the light and human element that I thought the vantablack original sorely lacked.
…Even if you didn't change the ending. It's not your fault in the slightest, but I still think that part stinks.
Regardless, a story is the sum of its parts, and the zero in that particular column was not enough to stop this from getting an 8/10 in my book. All in all, nicely done, and congratulations on finally making to the end of your massive undertaking. As always, best of luck in the future!
:)
Nice fakeout with the thumbnail.

I have to agree. While I found the story to be a bit too unremitting in how dour it was, this is an impressive production.
