So last Friday I went with most of my siblings to see the 3rd My Hero Academia film and I have to say it was pretty good. Main villain was to me much better than the last two and his organization was a credible threat for the series. The interactions and humor are good throughout and the new characters are a lot of fun and there are some very surprising moments that I did not see coming.
After that I decided to watch 007: On Her Majesty's Secret Service at home. Honestly it's the first Bond film I've ever watched all the way through outside of The Spy Who Loved Me. I hear a few people give George Lazenby a hard time as this was his solo outing as Bond but I thought he did a great job at least with the physicality of the role as he is great in the fight scenes throughout the film. I also liked the tone and the more "realistic" feel of it as the character uses more of his wits than rely on rather outlandish gadgets to get himself out of the situation. I also enjoyed Dr. Blofeld in this one. His plan was deadly yet simple in it's execution and he's within hours of having exactly what he wants (And it's not world domination for a change). Telly Savalas does a great job with a mix of brains and brawn as the character is shown to be a genius but is also not afraid to take to the field with his men. The ending of the film is bittersweet but I think more films and shows could have this type of ending where the main character doesn't get out unscathed. I know a lot of people might disagree with me but I think it subverts expectations.
Glad that you enjoyed your movie-viewing then.
