Hi ^_^ Sometimes I bug authors by pointing out typos so they can fix (or ignore) them. The rest of the time I keep to myself. :p

    It's Done! (Again)

Wow. It’s actually (about to be) finished. Like the whole thing this time.

    Sort of.

I’ll be publishing the LAST chapter of the LAST epilogue, and marking the story complete (again), later today. But first of all:

    Kelpies (MttPP headcanon background)

Note: all images in this post are also links to their Derpibooru pages if you want to research them.

Maybe I should have made this post when I brought Aria's kelpie form into the story, but better late than never, right?

    ALMOST DONE!

    Like, finally this time.

The final epilogue for MttPP is finished … in draft form. FOME has already given it a look through and I just have to consider a few things after seeing his suggestions before uploading to FIM Fiction.

    Sorry I'm late

It’s amazing how hard it can be to get back into writing after taking a break. I had been hoping to keep the 1 epilogue per month schedule going but that clearly didn’t happen.

I’m still getting over the fact that I wrote something at all, let alone something that seems to be liked by anyone other than myself. I’ve even had people asking me if I take requests.

That’s freaky.

Anyway…
About the story … and sequel?

I’ve mentioned before writing has always been exceedingly difficult for me, and I'd never found the right incentive to spend the time and effort necessary to try to overcome this difficulty … until coming across MLP fanfictions.

Slowly, I dreamed up an unfortunately sizable story idea and outlined it. In order to have any chance of writing it at all, I broke it down into smaller chunks which could be published as individual books and linked as sequels and side-stories of each other.

One of those became "Mission to the Pony Planet."

What’s noteworthy of MttPP is that it actually falls around the MIDDLE of the outline for the overall story I had planned.

I didn’t want to publish MttPP first. I wanted to go in order. But then the trailer for “Spring Breakdown” came out and I decided to get MttPP online before that aired.

So now that MttPP is finished, what next?

Well, I do actually have about another 100k words typed up and almost ready for publishing. These make up what would have been the first three chunks (or books) of the story. So I guess they’re prequels now.

Unfortunately, while those are nearly ready to go, they all take place before Rainbow Rocks. The idea I had was to have two books fill in the time in between each of the movies (1 for Sunset and 1 for the Dazzlings). MttPP takes place well after Rainbow Rocks, so there’s still a sizable gap of time that I’d have to write for just to catch up (though I may just skip some time periods to speed things along).

Another problem is that the outline has to change quite a bit due to events in the final seasons of MLP and the Equestria Girls web series, and things that ended up going differently while writing MttPP itself.

But the real problem is: I’m a REALLY slow writer. I started thinking this whole thing up in 2014-15!

I don’t know if I’ll ever get around to writing all the stories leading up to MttPP, let alone the stories that take place after it. But I want to try.

I’m going to look over the outline and hopefully adjust it to fit the final state of MLP and EG. If I can, and still have an interest in filling in that outline, I’ll see about getting to it.

Either way, I should still be able to publish at least the first book, if not all 3 that I have finished already.

Also, while the original idea behind the MttPP epilogues was to just add a few extra gags, I ended up using them as if they were really long mid/post-credits segments like Marvel has popularized. In other words, there’s a bunch of little teasers and hooks in them to what the other books could contain.

In Conclusion

I hope everyone likes how MttPP ends, and hope that I’ll be able to write the rest of the story both before and after these events, and hope that people will be interested in those stories too, and hope that those stories won’t end up being so wordy so that I can actually get through them quicker.

That’s a lot of hoping.

But I guess that’s the plan.

Thank you all again for reading!

Congratulations! Feel free to reach out to me if you'd like me to look over the prequels and anything else you have planned. (Timeskips may be prudent depending on just how much you have to cover.)

Congratulations on finishing up your story, you've worked hard on this!

Congrats dude can’t wait to read what your write next.
