Hey guys, it has been awhile since I’ve last published a chapter for the story. However, due to recent events and some deeper thinking, I am going to “axe” this story.
Now wait, hold on! Before you start freaking out or leaving me and the story without a second thought, what I meant is that I’m going to cut off the plot of this tale of mine. You might have questions as to why I’m doing this, so I am going to explain for my decision of UNCOVERING…
I am very unsatisfied with how my story is starting…
Yup, that is pretty much the short version of why I am axing this plot for a new one. While I did have re-written the first and second chapters, I am still unhappy with my post-apocalyptic tale.
When I first started to write this story, I had no “roadmap” of the plot from start to finish. I just went along with my imaginations and didn’t really give it a second thought. However, it was not until I was enrolled into a creative writing class that my eyes were “opened” to writing fiction and the creation of fictional worlds in general. I looked back at my fanfic and realized how much it was lacking, in my opinion, when reading through it myself.
That is when I made my first blog explaining of what I’m about to do with the first chapter of the story. And like I said above, I was still unhappy, unsatisfied, or disappointed with the prologue, exposition, and many other things that drove me to make this decision.
So, how big is the new re-write going to be you ask? Well, hehe, it would be revealed in due time. As for when it would be released, I don’t really know yet. With life at my heels, I would probably say in a couple weeks or less. I’m still working on the new plot, making more refinements here and there to make it better than the original.
The good news is that I’m going to keep the original story of UNCOVERING, which would be under the name “Original Story” (I know, very uncreative and blah, blah, blah. It is in the middle of the night as I am typing this, so my brain is tired).
