You Cannot Force a Willing Mind

You cannot force a willing mind
to yield, and end its restless quest
to lose the chains and ties that bind.

The ancients said that love is blind,
but see your lover clearly, lest
you cannot force a willing mind.

Two minds and bodies, souls entwined,
can help each other pass the test
to lose the chains and ties that bind.

    Someones, though, seek another kind

Enough with the crazy theories. I want to talk a bit about something that definitely is there in the movie: its score.

More crackpot G5 headcanon ideas · 11:50pm Oct 10th, 2021

I'll never get to develop these in fanfiction form either.

Crackpot theory the first: When Phyillis and Argyle divorced, due to irreconcilable philosophical differences, they split custody over their two foals. Argyle's wish to keep the siblings in contract is why Sprout and his friend kept getting invited to playdates at the lighthouse. The interaction between Argyle and Phyllis shows that Phyllis is particularly concerned about Sunny's upbringing, and also that Argyle seems to be a bit wistful that it had to go that way, with how he keeps staring after her when she leaves. After Argyle's death it hurt Phyllis deeply that Sunny refused to move home; that's when she got banned from the factory. (Now rewatch the part at the end when Phyllis finally acknowledges the importance of the bond between Argyle and Sunny).

Crackpot theory the second, just to share the family drama evenly: Izzy is Alphabittle's estranged daughter. That's why she instantly knows things are bad when she learns he's now the owner of the crystal, and why he feels justified in following her to Maretime Bay to drag her back home (with a Full Name Ultimatum, no less).

Crackpot theory the third: Why was it so easy to locate the three tribal crystals? Because they're not unique! They were mass produced with every pony settlement getting one according to their population majority. Mechanisms to house a set of three crystals for periodic recharging of the magical field were also installed all across Equestria. What, you thought the one in the lighthouse was the only one?
