A Way Too Personal Declaration of Honesty · 4:20am Sep 23rd, 2021
My favorite author of all time is, and forever will be, Kurt Vonnegut. I am considering making a huge blog post where I go in-depth into every book he ever wrote. (Please comment if that is something you're interested in reading.) It is my dream to make him turn over in his grave by writing a successful, thought provoking MLP crossover fic with some of his work. If I ever write anything even a fraction as good as he ever wrote, I will consider myself a success.
Anyway, if you don't know anything about Kurt Vonnegut, here is your beginner's guide. Read Slaughterhouse-Five, then Breakfast of Champions. If you like both of those, then you should read every book he has ever written. (Starting with God Bless You, Mister Rosewater, then Mother Night, then Deadeye Dick, then in any order you want.)
I would like to share with you my favorite piece of comfort media. Whenever I am feeling down, I can watch this and come to the conclusion that everything will be all right. I love it more that I have ever loved anything else in the world, and if I can share it with at least one person it will mean the world to me.

I encourage everyone to watch this and internalize the messages that it sends. It has done wonders for me, and if it does anything positive for any other human being it would make me the happiest man in the world. Thank you for the consideration, and have a beautiful, wonderful life.
i think this is a really cool post decaf, thank you for making it
I have only read Slaughterhouse-Five. I should probably read some more sometime. I'll watch the video today.
Im curious (not judgement call. I havent read any) have you read all his books? Or are some of your favorites that you read over and over?
No mention of Cat's Cradle?
I just read one of his works as an assignment. How eerily well timed of you
I am not at all sure about that description of Hamlet, but the talk was very good

I like most of them, so it's hard to narrow it down. For good political takes, I recommend Mother Night. For quality sci-fi, you should pick up Sirens of Titan. For good takes about art, try Bluebeard. For an amazing story about wealth inequality. try God Bless You Mister Rosewater. I change my opinion about my favorite book by him changes on a daily basis, but any of those would be great starting points.

I have committed a grave error, thank you for rectifying it.

It's maybe a little overzealous, but I do still love it anyway.
