9/11/2001: The Darkest Day in Recent American History

Today, September 11th, 2021 is 20 years since the horrific plane hijackings that took down the World Trade Center and part of the Pentagon (and that field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania which that plane was definitely aiming for the White House). I still remember seeing the planes hit the World Trade Center on tv when I was almost 4. I remember it so well because that's the very first time in my life that I felt genuine fear. For those 2,996 lives lost on that day, let us endure a moment of silence.
