Scoring Chart · 6:15pm Sep 11th, 2021
Okay so I completely forgot this account is mostly barren of any of my previous content, so I should probably make the scoring system reinstated.
[Story Name]
Score - [0-100]/[0-100]
(Score is between 0 to 100, it's the collective overall score that is added up from the 5 sets, sometimes sub-sets are used for more appropriate scoring, especially if one set doesn't apply to the story resulting in an unfair lost of points. Only one story has ever gotten 100 points, and the lowest I've ever had to give was a 13. )
Score Breakdown
The score breakdown is a result of 5 main sets; Writing, Pacing, Originality and Focus (Formally Focus),Proofreading, and Impact. It's clear, concise, and helps the author know where they did great, where they did okay, and where they need some big improvements.
- Writing - 0|20
- Pacing - 0|20
- Originality and Focus - 0|20
- Proofreading - 0|20
- Impact - 0|20

I felt it necessary to include a disclaimer and spoiler warning. I wanted people to understand that these Short Reviews are merely just that, a review. I try to provide the best insight I can, and constructive criticism is one of the most important things for an author to have in order to improve and grow. Not only that, but it can give people an idea if the story is really a good read, or not so much if they're more pressed for time and want to spend their reading more effectively.
General Review
this is where my quick thoughts and breakdown of the score sets goes. It also includes the send off at the end. It's a bit more detailed and is often where the spoilers are, but if there's anything too major I do slap the spoiler tag on any of those segments.
And that's it really. It's simple enough and it really does seem to help people with their stories. I update reviews if the author ever does improve the story, and I strike through anything that was of older mention.
