Hasbro makes the Easy-Bake Oven. A boy wants one. His sister decided to get the packaging changed so that it's not marketed just to girls. Hasbro also makes our dearly beloved series. I used the fact that Hasbro is making money from males off a female-marketed line/show as part of my argument in my signing of the petition. It got me to talking with someone about the Bronies and how people studied them.

So, I decided to write an analytical mini-essay on Bronies:

To be fair you could always get a "monster maker" kit from hasbro as well and use that. Or whatever they call it.

The problem with this is that it's a from a product line that was originally designed to be only for girls. It was marketed towards girls back when "a woman's place is in the kitchen" The product hasn't needed to undergo these changes simply because no one has cared, until now.
$5 says there's a variant of this product that does come in a less girly color. I know there used to be a black and white model, but they probably want a super deluxe version that doesn't just happens to not be available in "manly" colors.

Leave it to the american media to blow something relatively minor out of proportion.

Also leave it to me being sleep deprived to come up with the most negative view possible on this.

579877 Well, the idea has little to do with the color and more to do with the fact that the toy shows only girls on its box. Frankly, nothing is feminine about pink or purple. I actually have shirts in pink, and I LOVE purple, but can't find many purple shirts. T^T
