YouTube's commercials...WHAT THE ACTUALL HECK!? · 6:54am Sep 2nd, 2021
OK, I know YouTube has special rules or whatever now. BUT WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. HECK. IS. THIS. I was listening to an audio drama, when all the sudden I hear one. word. I can't say what it was, because I am not that person who just randomly curses and bla bla bla. So I open my computer, and some add for Hulu is up. I was listening to Life's a Breeze, and this just had to ruin my night. It was a very inappropriate add and it should not have been shown on there. And my littlest sisters are on YouTube listening to stories to help them sleep some nights. If this add came on and my sisters weren't asleep yet, they would hear it and call and ask me what it means and I would just stand there for three hours going, "Uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh..."
I'm not mad, I'm strait up furious. My sisters use YouTube, my cousins use YouTube. Now none of us are constantly on it, but still. YouTube. I can not right now. If you guys have seen a recent add for Hulu that starts saying inappropriate things for anyone under 18, you get what I mean. My sisters sometimes use my account, which means they are under my name and age there while they are on it. I am watching over them but I wouldn't be able to shut of the computer or the T.V. on time. If my sisters asked me what those first two words in the first sentence are, like I said, I'll stand there for three hours doing nothing, then I would have to say, "Forget it, it's a made up word."
Then I know the'll look it up later which means I have to turn on every single block I can on every device and I don't wan't to go through that hassle again. I would rather watch an add for the return of Dora the Explorer than this! If anyone who manages YouTube ends up finding this please please please please please get rid of this add. I DON'T CARE IF YOU MAKE MONEY OFF OF IT JUST. DELETE. IT. If my sisters end up seeing it I will not hesitate to report this to the FTC!! YEAH THAT'S RIGHT. THE PEOPLE FROM THREE YEARS AGO WITH THE 170 MILLION DOLLAR SETTLEMENT!! THE PEOPLE WHO TRY TO PROTECT CHILDREN FROM THIS SORT OF THING ALONG WITH STOPPING THE SPREAD OF YOUNGER KIDS INFORMATION!?
