So, you might have noticed that the last official Bean chapter was published all the way back in January.
Since then, nothing. But why?
Well, didya ever have one of those ideas that was great in your head, but when you wrote it down, you found out it was absolutely horrible?
That's pretty much what happened. Those who have seen the outline I had going described it as convoluted, needlessly complex, and ultimately unfulfilling. It put the focus on the wrong ponies, and I was trying way too hard to take the story in a direction that it didn't need to go in.
So, rather than push out a subpar product, I just trashed the whole thing and started over. The new and better story has almost one chapter done, so hopefully soon I'll be able to bring Bean to you all once again. Stay tuned for more updates as they develop! 
So, what you're saying is your burnt the beans and now you need to redo the dish. Gotcha.

Main Beanverse. Harem Bean needs a good overhaul too, for similar reasons, but I want to get some monogamy Bean going before I fix Harem.

So you’re overhauling the entire series or just the first story? And will you keep the old chapters up as well?

I'm just tossing what I had planned for the sequel to Pregnant Noses. I didn't make that very clear, I admit. The rest of the main No Nose stories - so all the Bean stories besides Harem Noses - will remain as they are, for good or for bad.

I’m actually of the opposite opinion with them myself; I see those sections of the stories and wish that it would get back to the royal couple. I certainly wouldn’t mind them having a story focused on them so I could enjoy the Nose series with a focus on Bean and Celestial, and Luna with her own little romantic(?) subplot that was started.
Oh, yeah, been there, felt that. I had to sit down at my keyboard again and again. After the third long break for a couple “fresh start,” I finally decided that I couldn’t make the scene work. Maybe a different author could avoid making the scene potentially offensive, but I wasn’t that author.
