Oh no. Verve is going to be much, much longer than Inertia. · 12:18am Aug 22nd, 2021
I wrote much, much too much. I'm on Chapter 30 now, and I'm happy to say I'm probably around the halfway point for Verve. I think I began writing in the early part of August; had I not been also working a nearly full time job, I would definitely be done by now. Also, I had to watch a family pet for a week, around the same time my laptop decided to catch fire. All in all, this is still a shocking amount of progress!
It's now officially an adventure story. Yay.
My next update will be when I'm confident the end is drawing near, and I'm getting ready to reread all... like, 330k+ words. It's a lot. What I have now is definitely close to Inertia's length, though the program I'm using has issues telling me the word count. I really wanted to hammer out what magic is in Equestria, how harmony works, and why friendship plays a big part. This is going to be a story about keeping hope, even in the darkest of times.
A problem I'm facing now is that Chapters 1-10 are kinda bork'd and in need of revision. Thing is, I can't touch 'em, cause they're on an HD I can't access. Shame. Once I can fix the glaring issues there, I can be more confident with the later chapters.
The events of Verve take place without Luna, I'm afraid. This is because I'm shifting focus to Celestia's banishment, and their adventure afterwords. Take from that what you will. I also wanted to give my favorite Princess, Celestia, a lot of love. After all, Inertia was originally supposed to be a Celestia fic.
See ya in a few weeks. :3c
I'm very impressed at your ability of being able to pump out so many horse words, even with the obstacles you described, especially the "laptop catching fire" part, so I very much believe your newest story will be great with the your revisions and such.
Good luck!
Side note: I, too, think Celestia is Best Princess. She certianly needs some more love, so I'm glad we're both on the Sunny Side, heh
Wait, it’s that much already? Jeez, sure doesn’t feel like it when you’re having fun I guess. Well, I better get my butt moving and try to find and eliminate all and any errors then!
Just finished reading Inertia and at the end I was saying in my head "This needs a sequel".
I am happy that this gets a Sequel, the ending felt a little rushed but not in a bad way so to speak..
take your time on this one.
I am interested in seeing what you show us in the Sequel.
Also best Pony!
