I dunno if it's smart or dumb to post a blog about a story BEFORE I drop it, but I figured I may as well remind everyone who follows me that I'm not dead yet, and this thing I've been working on is a month in the making. Of course, I could've had two full months if I'd heard about the MLP Renaissance Contest when it was announced, as well as the potential $500 reward (that I'd be putting towards commissions and other such useless junk), but hey, at least I'll be making it by the skin of my teeth.

To anyone who remembers that one story of mine that somehow found its way into the Canterlot Library, Nothing Left to Lose, it's a sequel to that, so anyone who has that in their favourite shelf ought to be receiving a notification in due course. I think. I'm not sure how sequels work. Regardless, it's a shame that cash incentives seem to be the only thing that get me off my lazy butt and... sitting in a chair to write, but if it works it works.
Should be posting it tomorrow, or thereabouts, depending on wherever you are in the world. Before the contest deadline, though, that much is for certain.
