Back to work... · 6:02pm Jul 27th, 2021
At the office following vacation, where I continue to man the fort pretty much alone while everyone else works from home, and on Feathered Hearts, where I have decided to do one more all-new transition chapter before resuming work on editing the original chapters. The objective is to merge the new storyline back into the original and smooth the way forward. As for why, when I thought about it, it just didn’t seem right or fair to jump back into the original story without addressing Chris, Tara, and Marco waking up and how they learn what happened/what their reaction would be.
So here we go. Though there’s already 2100 words down, I don’t think I can get this done before the end of the month as I hoped. But no matter. August will be given over to working on Firefly in advance of its four-year anniversary on September 1st, with some Feathered Hearts original chapter edits mixed in. And if I’m feeling particularly frisky following a fresh testosterone infusion early in the month, I’ll even do another chapter of Eros.
Consider that a harbinger. September and October will be spent on my two big Unleash the Magic stories as I attempt to complete the revamp of Midnight Rising and carry Nightmare Night to its long-awaited climax in the leadup to Halloween. Complicating matters, however, will be a fresh surgery in early September that will have me eating soft foods again for some weeks. I’ll be attempting to knock out my remaining sleep apnea by doing what’s called a tongue reduction, which is every bit as fun as it sounds. Understandably, that may kill any desire for me writing adult fiction for a bit.
Just wanted to let folks know where things stood and what was planned. Also wanted to give a shout-out to The Lawyer and The Unicorn - M-Rated Version reaching a milestone of 350 likes. At some point in the near future, I’m going to do what I did to Firefly for that story, and turn it into a magnum opus of three discreet stories instead of one large one that kept changing personality on readers. I’ll let folks know when it’s done.
Sorry about your surgery. Hope it will go without a hitch.
I hope your surgery won't give you any real problems and that will recover swiftly.
As has been said, here's hoping for both surgery and recovery without complications.
I also wish you everything well for your surgery.
