Stuff about me: Creepypastas · 7:43pm Jul 6th, 2021
I like reading, listening and watching strange and scary stuff. That also explains my fascination with American politics. It's like a scene from a car crash video in which you see a car zoom up. Unfortunately, you don't get to avoid the impact.
There will be blood.
Enough of the real world horror.
Now to talk about creepy pastas.
Why oh why do the writers use this stuff?
She squinted her eyes.
He nodded his head.
I thought to myself. (If this was about telepaths, it would be alright.)
I chuckled to myself. (Not sure about this one.)
Oh yeah, let's not forget the paragraphs of exposition they cover before anything interesting is said.
My name is Phill and I look like Bla, bla bla. My family is from, Bla Bla town. I have two Bla blas...
Oh yeah, let's not forget the, "This is actually real and we changed the names to protect the innocent." Um, we're the innocent and don't want to be sued. Yeah, we know this isn't true. Can we move on?
Sorry.
Had to get that off of my chest.
There are some interesting tales out there.
Some of it can be pretty funny too. And every once in a while someone gets jiggy with the descriptions and you get to see things. I can't rely on my meds for that so I appreciate the extra effort.
The good ones leave an impact.
I remember one story in which a kid mistakes a burned creature for Santa Claus and ash for snow.
What happens next was quite interesting. I wish I could remember the name of that creepypasta.
For someone who likes writing dark and creepy stuff it's pure catnip. Well, not exactly, I get no reactions from that stuff.
And then there are the narrators.
A lot of them do wonderful jobs.
Folks like:
Otis Jiry.
Jason Hill.
Drew Blood.
Dr. Creepen. (Don't ask this guy for an apostate exam.)
Dark Somnium - Don't know the name of the guy or gal there.
Ian Gordon from Horrorbabble- This guy reminds me of Ray Milland.
If you like hearing old school horror stories, this is the place.
