First, some tuneage.
Well, well, well. The biggest concern-episode comes up next week, and it can make or break my fic. I REALLY hope the episode goes how I think it will, because it'll be perfect for the fic if it goes right. If, however, a couple of events happen, there may be a problem. My goal with this fic is to cling tightly to canon, to expand an overlooked character and make them a lovable character.
Regardless of what happens, I am providing a list of things I have learned writing about Scootaloo and her friends:
I REALLY want to give Scootaloo and Featherweight a hug. As well as several other ponies, really. They've provided a whole world of storytelling I've never had. Fiction hasn't been where my writing skills have been, historically.
I really am just as curious where this fic is going, day by day, as you (those who are gripped by my, apparently somewhat good, storytelling) are. I just get the first class ticket to see it before you guys. I typically don't know for days or weeks what's going to happen until suddenly... but we'll get to that later.
There MAY be a related side-story that only appears on deviantART, if it's too short. It's significant, though. If it happens, I'll provide a link, but expect me to tug on your rage-strings first.
I have had an idea for a while, which will involve testing Scootaloo, pretty heavily. I am finally writing about it, but you won't see it until it can fit into the story without issue.
Ponyville (and Canterlot) is(are) in a place that only get(s) snow on rare occasion, maybe a couple of times a winter. They DO get cold weather, however. Sometimes early, as early as the end of summer.
Rainbow Dash is a VERY protective mother (I mean, wow. I was shocked the route I ended up taking, and finding acceptable. Don't mess put her filly in any serious danger, or you'll regret it, friend or foe.)
Featherweight is more patient than I could ever be.
Silver Spoon has a pretty crummy mother.
Diamond Tiara has daddy issues, and is pretty cruel to those who threaten her (whether that's in her head or in reality.)
I wish I could draw! UGH! I could have some nice scenes made if I could draw as well as I could see images.
Be sure to stay tuned. I believe I have a potential work-around for the story depending on how Sleepless in Ponyville goes, but no matter what, it's been a fun ride.
