Uncultured writer Seeking a French speaker · 1:17pm Jul 1st, 2021
Hello again!
If there is a French speaker/reader who can do a little translation, I'd greatly appreciate it.
While I 'could' use a translation site, I've found that they sometimes skip little things like grammar and accuracy. English to X doesn't always keep the nuances.
Should there be such a folk around, the lines are;
"Ah, Night Light, you sweetheart! Welcome, welcome! It's so good to see you again. And you brought your beautiful daughter - oh! Who is this?"
Should turn into;
"Ah, Night Light, toi chérie! Bienvenue, bienvenue! C’est tellement bon de vous revoir. Et vous avez amené votre belle fille - oh!Qui est-ce ?"
and
"Darling, you never mentioned that you had another one!"
should then become
"Chérie, tu n’as jamais mentionné que tu en avais une autre!"
So if someone can read it and tell me how off or on I am, that would be nice.
Heyo, Frenchman typing here.
I'm willing to help, but I need a teensy bit more context to traduce adequately. Like, what is Night Light's relation with the French speaker.
There are a few things with which the automatic traducers have issues. Maintaining consistency for genders and the choice between tutoiement (essentially what thou used to be, the second person singular to an equal) and vouvoiement (second person plural, also used as singular to someone you have a lot of deference for).
