I had my presentation this morning for my Wetland Conversation field research class and I ended up getting an A+ on my portion of it! I'm so relieved that its over!
I was the one putting together all the powerpoints for the presentation and never got one of my 'group members'.... He e-mailed me last night saying: 'I'll just bring it on a USB drive tomorrow morning...'
He showed up to class 45 MINUTES LATE. DURING MY PART OF THE PRESENTATION. WHEN HE WAS SUPPOSE TO BE TALKING.
So after I finish, and we had our 'group take home message' because mine was suppose to go last, he loads his up as a separate .ppt file and its not even half-assed. My professor stopped him half way through and excused the class. I was putting away my laptop and there were a few other students still in the classroom when he handed me my evaluate, and the professor just stops in front of the kid and just looks at him.
The guy was like 'I guess you wouldn't believe me if I said that I slept through my alarm clock?'
And the professor just tells him, verbatim, "On your evaluate, I wrote 'Speaker is either half-asleep, drunk, or on drugs.'
My jaw just drops and the room goes quiet in the most awkward moment I've ever been in. I grabbed my shit and ran for the door....
That kid got what he deserved..... and I got my A+! :D
A large portion of stress has cleared from my life from this class.....
Then I get home and find a $200 check in my name in the mail from college!
Then I had an amazing dinner/dancing and Christmas in the Park date after it!
