Upcoming plans and a signal boost for charity

So then, been a while since I've really talked about what I'm up to. So the summary is I'm trying to get my life in order. Started a new job, left because it made me suicidal, started another one, working there, working on some relationship stuff, working on getting insurance and into better mental health care. Some good things in the works, but it's taking a huge toll on my ability to write, so I haven't been doing much there. That said, I actually hope to have five new stories up in June

Let's explain. First, I've got a story that I wrote months ago but only recently have the means to get cover art for it. That's called Overshadowed, and it's a WWB fic about Lightning Dust on tour with The Washouts opening for Bitchette, and explores her history and friendship with Rainbow. It's a oneshot, written to be a future bonus fic in the eventual Thicker Than Water print edition. Once I get the cover art from Pasu, I'll be posting it immediately.

But then there's another four fics coming, hopefully. That's because the Pride and Positivity event allows for two MLP and two non-MLP fics per author, worth $20 a piece for charity. And boy howdy do I like writing for charity (not because I'm such a good person, though obviously it's nice to help charity too; it just makes my writing feel like it has purpose, and that releases the good brain chemicals). So I've got a month to at least start four stories, two pony two other.

For the pony stories since that's most likely what you care about, I think I might do a sequel to Each Small Step, focusing on Sonata and Trixie. I have a little bit of an idea for it, at least what I might want to explore, but I need to work on the idea more. The other pony idea I'm mulling over is an AU to Playing House where Sky lived, just a oneshot about a domestic couple with a child because that sounds nice, but it feels like it doesn't have a ton of purpose l. I like the domestic angle, but I wonder if I could do that better another way. I don't know, still working on that.

As for the non-pony stuff, I'm thinking I'll do another Suselle fic, plausibly a standalone sequel to my previous one. I have some things I wanna do with these characters, and it's the one fandom besides pony I've been interested in writing about. My other idea is a side story to my original novel that I've been working on for years, an introduction to one of the supporting characters and a little intro to the world. I've been thinking of doing this for a long time, so now might just be the time to do it...

Will I actually get all these done in time for Pride and Positivity? I dunno. I hope so, but I'm working full time and off my ADHD meds and struggling with writing, but I have the motivation right now, and I want to see where I can take it. As for everything else, we'll see...
