And this is why Japanese media will ultimately rule the world. This woke politics shit doesn't fly over there, nor will they allow for it to come to fruition. No need for characters to apologize for being who they are, no lifelong grudges against someone to ensure they're punished decades down the line, no identity politics to get hamstrung by no "women" who're built like mack trucks and look like they wanna hatefuck a toaster, none of it.
To be fair Renamon's comment about Digimon not having genders doesn't even make sense given we have various species whose appearance and name directly contradict that statement like Angewomon, Ladydevimon and Rosemon, and Lilithmon.

Some have suggested that it was less a form of masculine/feminine stereotyping, and more just confirming that digimon didn't reproduce in that manner.
Which, if you dig deep enough into the community's fanfiction, is complete bullshit.

Indeed I mean how else do new Digimon come into existence? They have to have a reproduction system for new digieggs to even exist as the whole Reincarnation thing only applies to previously existing ones, not newer ones. I mean even Cybertronians apparently have a system for that and marriage concept and they're giant alien robots not to mention ghosts being able to despite being dead because Boxlunch of Danny Phantom.

Well, in the Tamers canon, reincarnation does not exist; death is permanent. Which is why Leomon's murder is the bombshell that it is in that season.

I mean to be fair it's never directly denied Reincarnation isn't possible or doesn't exist. We just never see a Digimon get it's butt kicked so bad it reverts to a digiegg. All we see are Digimon outright preventing an egg from forming by absorbing the data thus deletion way before Gizumon comes into play in Data Squad. Probably cut the egg from the show because of focusing on the story and the fact it's basic knowledge by that point.
