Once More Unto The Breach · 12:30pm May 13th, 2021
Taking a former roommate and longtime friend through one of the greatest pieces of my childhood.
It's so fun, seeing how ill-prepared he is for how dark and philosophical and lovecraftian it'll get in the second half. But he's majoring in philosophy, so these post-finale conversations will likely be unlike any I've had before.
Only one problem so far... He likes the theme song (we're watching the dub). Yeah, put up with it for three years and see if you still like it!
Just give it some time. He'll probably be caught off guard sooner or later ^^

Oh I am looking forward to it.
He's not dense at all; his first [correct] theory is that Janyu (Henry's dad) is involved in the early Digimon projects. He guessed that during Henry's origin flashback for crying out loud!
I wonder if he'll figure the devas out before the show tells us.
To this day, still one of the best versions of the franchise.
I watched the dubbed version too. Still love the Tamers theme song.
Edit: Call me crazy, but to me the original japanese theme song sounds like generic pop music. It's nice, but it doesn't fit. :T

Just wish they gave us something akin to Frontier's English opening a year early, ya know? That's one of the best dubbed anime openings ever, of all time.

Oh yeah, absolutely!
I remember back when I first watched all the classic digimon seasons from season 1-4/frontier I did back when I was 13 back in 2015 when I was still in middle school. Good times. Despite I haven't watched or am the biggest fan of digimon these days since I'm more of a Pokémon fan I still enjoy digimon, well only the first 4 classic seasons and digimon fusion since that's the only ones I've seen full, but still it's a good part of my childhood to this day.
Never got into Digimon. I'll admit I didn't really give it a chance as I just saw it as a Pokemon rip off. Not that I was big on Pokemon either.
Well in that universe the Digimon seasons are fictional, reality on the other hand is a hard bitch and the psychological trauma proves that.
Tamers is still easily my favorite season. And personally I think its version of the original dub theme was the best. Are you gonna do the movies too, or just the series?
Here's hoping they reboot Tamers

How about no?
With how they approached Tri, I'm sincerely hoping they leave Tamers alone. Even the latest CD drama ended in an unresolved cliffhanger.

Fair enough.

iirc The original creator did actually leave the table open for a continuation of Tamers. Not a reboot, but a continuation.
Wouldn't have to address Tri in Tamers at all. The show isn't about the other digimon series, so I don't see why they would ever go beyond what they've already established, that there's a card game based on Digimon that just happen to be real.

The CD dramas are his continuation. The problem is, Digimon Tamers 2018, the latest one, ends in an unresolved cliffhanger. That was three years ago.

I don't think I've seen any of the CD Dramas. Do you know where I can find them?

They're in Japanese. I think fans have put translations up on YouTube.
As far as I know, there are two of them.
Message in a Packet, which takes place after the anime, as well as Digimon Tamers 2018, which as your can guess, takes place well after the anime.
