A third of the way done with chapter 3 · 3:28am May 7th, 2021
This is a rough estimate of how much I've gotten done for chapter 3 of The Blind Sun, but I have the first major scene done, just two or three more to go. Writing is slow going due to not having the energy half the time, and me being me and basically worrying if my shit is any good, No seriously, I do generally get into a mindset where writing is a chore because I worry if what I do put out is an improvement or good overall.
Criticism doesn't do jack shit when no one is telling me what I can do to improve, so then I just wonder what the fuck I'm doing wrong and clearly I haven't gotten enough sleep again if I'm getting stressed over it.
Again.
But any progress is good progress. I wrote a thousand words so that's something at least. Gotta get the rest of this chapter done, then I go back to writing chill slice-of-life shenanigans.
Take it easy, stressing like this is a fast track way to burn yourself out. I don't mind waiting a bit longer between chapters if it means the story doesn't perish to writers burnout.

There's just a few things going on right now that make it difficult to get into the right mindset for writing on top of my own worries about whether what I'm writing is good or not, so things are a bit of a clusterfuck at the moment.
