So, in the season 3 finale, when Twilight becomes an alicorn, I had a story idea with that. Here it is:
Twilight Sparkle, when she awoke that morning, had been transported to an alternate reality's Twilight that was ever so close that there was hardly any difference, except for her insane amounts of musical numbers. I think that's the only thing that had changed, as her consciousness was put into that other Twilight. Anyways, In the original timeline, the rest of the Mane 6 can't find Twilight and she seems to have completely disappeared, so the whole episode while Twilight is in the other timeline, the two timelines collided and mixed up the cutiemarks, and that's why the memories of the timelines were crossed, and when the Elements destroyed Twilight, that timeline no longer had a Twilight Sparkle, and the Mane 6 in the original Timeline were coming to the library after a defeated and in-vain search for Twilight, and then she showed up.
The story would focus on the Mane 5 in the other timeline, and how disasterous it was to their friendship.
