My theory on how magic works in the human world. · 8:40am May 1st, 2021
By looking at the movies, shorts and specials that Hasbro had to offer to us, I tried my best to establish a rule or perhaps a system on how magic actually works in the human world. so let's begin:
I believe it is safe to say that the other realm (the human world) was accessible before the mirror came to be. In Forgotten Friendship we do see that Clover followed someone to another realm to fetch the memory stone from them, which we discover was actually the human world. In the Infinite time loop, we see another artifacts present in human worlds that seemed to have been lost for a while in Equesteria.
Perhaps more artifacts have been transferred into the human world than we have seen so far, meaning the base for magic had been building up before Sunset stole the crown and brought it to the human world though I believe that was what strengthened magic in there.
After the magic got stronger in human world specially with the mane 7 we do see pony-ish elements here and there. which makes sense. But things will get interesting once we get to legend of Everfree.
We see that the portal is having magic leakage and those leakage are infesting in the cave that is supposed to hold the tree of harmony on the other side, and we do see the crystals together in there....suggesting they are connected and hence they are for the mane 7.
The crystals have an owner that they are attached to, hence is why when the mane 7 get into the camp, their abilities start to show up one by one as Gloriosa gets closer to them. Though how is Gloriousa using magic if she doesn't own it?
To put it simply, the crystals are jut energy, though they know their owner. The magical energy will be given shape in someone body and spirit it does not poses a shape in the beginning! Hence when Gloriosa has the energy, her magic is different from what the mane 7 get even they source is the same.
