Horror Gaming: Zelda II: The Lost level Creepypasta Review · 12:45pm Apr 29th, 2021

A new edition of Horror Gaming is up and as we check out a Zelda II creepypasta from nearly a decade ago. Yes, it has been almost since last year when I did a Horror Gaming review. Even though its April and Mario 35th anniversary is over, Nintendo has yet to announce Zelda’s own. Nintendo might reveal this at E3 since that event was confirmed to continue through a digital presentation. Zelda might not sell as much as Pokémon or even Mario buts it’s still their top tier franchise—Breath of the Wild alone sold more than 17 million units which is more than any other before. The fact they have yet to announce a Zelda 35th anniversary is odd especially considering Skyward Sword is getting ported to the Switch. I guess we will have to wait until E3, but if Nintendo doesn’t go through for this then it’s the most ridiculous decision they could make.

As for the creepypasta, it was written from a user named Irfan and it’s based on the sequel. The theme has a man named Greg seeking out a way to play the second game to relive childhood memories. Upon getting the game, he then starts to experience weird things happening during his play through. Whenever a CP uses this old repetitive mold for story telling then you know that can’t be a good sign. That is basis to how these CPs started out during the early 2010s with character X wanted to relive their childhood. The only CP that was a shiny gem among a sea of creepypastas was Ben Drowned and Team Fortress 2: Play Dead. Those two stories and another Team Fortress 2 CP which released around the same time were the sole gems.
