Hogwarts Overtale Rewrite & Owl and the Butterfly · 8:36pm Apr 25th, 2021
Hi everyone. You've probably noticed by now that this story hasn't been updated for quite some time. That's because I'm basically revamping the Sky Trek universe (now temporarily called Entanglement) from the ground up. While I still really want to tackle a massive crossover universe based in an alternate 1930s dieselpunk world, I've had a lot of issues with how I handled the stories in the first rendition. I feel the story structures were sloppy, the characters didn't get enough fleshing out for the most part, and my world building was ehhhhh...
So, I'm rebuilding things from the ground-up, starting with an Undertale fanfiction called The Owl and the Butterfly, which due to a lack of pony characters I can't post on this site. Please use the link if you want to dig into it.
Oh, and speaking of pony characters, Sunset and the rest of them will be going back to being horses instead of horse-whisperers in the future, as fun as that was.
This story in particular will be rewritten either during or after I'm done with Owl and the Butterfly, with the major difference being the above. I don't believe there will be *too* many changes up to the current point, but we'll see. Looking forward to hopping back into this once I've gotten done laying the ground work.
As for Owl and the Butterfly, here's a description:
After the barrier to the Underground is lifted, Frisk and five of the Underground's key figures attempt to make peaceful contact with the local human authorities. Instead, they end up swept up in a conflict between human nations, including the one which imprisoned them in the first place.
With Toriel's love and guidance, Frisk must navigate the tricky waters of diplomacy to get her friends a home. Meanwhile, Alphys puts her technical skills to the test, Undyne wants to try out human weapons, Papyrus enthusiastically tries his hand as a lumberjack, Sans just wants to relax...
And a terrifying fourth party wants everyone dead.
