Ah yes, the intimidating negotiator. General Grievous, I have been waiting for you... to be just as badass as you were here unlike the coughing excuse of your 2008 counterpart. **COUGH**

Whether I told you this or not is something I don’t know, but a big reason as to why Scar is one of my favorite villains too is because I find him to be a perfect alternate reflection of Simba. In this case, a representation of what Simba would’ve become had he not gained respect and appreciation for the Circle of Life or realized that being king isn’t about having domination over something.
At one point, I read that many complained that after taking over the Pridelands, the first film mostly depicted him not doing very much at all. But, I actually find that to be another reason as to why I think Scar’s a perfect alternate to Simba, because it’s most likely what Simba would’ve been doing if he was like that.
