With another Midnight Rising chapter in the books, where where I successfully made a tsundere out of Ember and had Pinkie beat her in a contest of heat with a little something called capsaicin, I'm now heading back to Feathered Hearts. The next chapter already has 3500 words written and with it comes a question for readers:
How would you like a little early implied adult (T-rated) action that might lead to an M-rated side story later on?
Allow me to explain: the way this chapter is currently shaping up, it will open with a very serious section regarding the events between Tara and Dana regarding whether or not either or both should be expelled, followed by a more lighthearted one, as all the sudden, Dana, Chris and Marco are in a much better mood knowing that Dana is leaving. There will be the proverbial dinner and movie, where you'll learn a little more about our intrepid human heroes, including a surprising event in their recent past that severely strained and nearly ended their friendships not many months before.
Readers of my more M-rated stories may recall that there's a little something called zap apple ether/cider, which has severe inhibition shattering effects and was already mentioned in this story to be a controlled substance in the Kingdom for that very reason. Well, it would be called upon here as well, to various effects and actions, and as has been the case in my other stories, those *actions* would not be not recalled the next day except for waking up in some compromising positions and getting an eyeful of certain... attributes.
Lest anyone think I'm being unoriginal, the origin of the cider would be a surprise, and ending up involving a race I've mentioned previously in multiple chapters and other stories, but never actually introduced: the Ibexians, whose nation is on the other side of the Pearl (Ural) Mountains, and who have been a longstanding rival to the griffon race.
Suffice it to say, they are fully aware of humanity's presence in the Kingdom and the Council of Crows aren't the only ones who want to get their talons/hooves on the human devices. So this would be a chance to meet them and learn a little about why the griffons consider them such an implacable and dangerous foe.
As for an M-rated side story, it would describe the cider-fueled events of that night that would be poorly remembered the next morning, if at all. You may recall that Demon Eyes Laharl himself wrote such a side story for the original Feathered Heart:

My story would cover this and other future events. So before I get too deeply into it, I leave it to you, readers: would you like to see the next chapter have a setup for such an M-rated story, or at least a chapter or two of it, involving an early event that would not be well-remembered by any involved after? Answer in the comments below. And if you're worried I can't pull it off, trust me--I can.
I mean... I'm sure we'd all like it but don't you already have a plate that's overflowing with fics as it is?

Yes, but I didn't say I'd do it right away. Just that I’d be setting something up for later.
For me this is a cherry-on-top situation. I certainly won't say no to that cherry being put on the top of the sundae, but I already got a great sundae in front of me so, either way is going to be nom.
i'd say sure go for it. No harm done in setting up foreshadowed plots for future side stories (and possibly but not guaranteed sequel(s).)
