So, the next chapter of Operation Echo Solace will be coming sometime soon. As such, here's an update of what to expect, some changes I've made, and a few other things.
First, a preview of the the next chapter.
The Ghosts meet Shining Armor's own version of special forces, the elite "Crystal Sabres", and then give a firearms training lesson. But at the same time, King Diomedas, Prince Hector and the Eqaharians in Canterlot receive an ultimatum from the US Government...as the USS Ticonderoga and its escort force arrive off the coast of Manehattan in protected waters.
Prince Hector attempts to call the presumed bluff by launching an all-out assault on the Crystal Empire, and the Ghosts, the Crystal Guards, and their only air support, a squad of A10s and a pair of F22 Raptors, must hold the line until further support arrives.
At the same time, Twilight and Bianca make plans of their own to escape Canterlot in the sudden chaos...
Second, I have nailed down a proper and permanent weapons list for the Ghosts, which can be found in a link in the description. I clarified a few names, and I reverted Aegis Lead's weapon change to the Barrett REC7A2, back to the Remington R5 RGP, as I learned manufacturing ceased for the M468 in 2010.

On further consideration, the optional chapter and the pre-planned content within will NOT be written or included in the story. It's not like me to write that sort of thing, and it brought up unpleasant personal memories of the rabbit hole, (Adult entertainment, for those who wonder what I mean by that.).
I feel that it shows a side of me I'd rather not let appear, and frankly...I don't want to make things too heavy that it'll break site rules/my own limitations.
In summary, I feel it's better this way for me and for the story.

Those Disgusting Eqaharians ( especially Hector) are SO DEAD! Once the Ghosts finds this out on what they did to poor Twilight.

Yeah, I'm actually considering adjusting things a bit. I don't know if it would help or hurt the story to include what I had planned for Chapter 9. Because...well..honestly, having the option to/considering writing about that sort of abuse...it doesn't sit well with me.
I haven't been abused in any way by anyone, but...I did jump down the rabbit hole of...adult entertainment once. I'm thoroughly out of it now, but...
That type of content brings up bad memories.
So...it might happen, but it will likely not be included, as I think about it while writing this. I'll keep posting updates in the meantime.

Chapter 9 will feature a prisoner slice of life with Twilight and Bianca.
