Yeah, the title explains half of this blog post. So, first, the Brainstorming Group.
So, I thought that if people had trouble coming up with ideas for stories, competitions, series ideas, etc., they could come to the Brainstorming Group and just say "Hey, I need help thinking of a story idea." Then, I or maybe a Moderator would make a thread for them.
Ok, onto the fic. So the fic would be a great Christmas story, in my opinion. It'll also be my first story, also my first romance story. Romantic scenes, no shipping, winter-like setting, and a truly silent night. One-shot, because the story doesn't fit very well with chapters.

AHHH, I see.
Keep in mind what makes a character, or any person, unique and awsome is their personality, their personal experience/knowledge.
Remember how Fluttershy has a freeky knowledge of sewing. That adds to her and makes her unique.
You don't need special eyes or metal enhanced wings to make a character special. In fact it draws the viewer away from that uniquness.
I suggest fixing the eyes to have a more normal pupil, and either fix the wings to be normal, or make the iris less stand out less.
The reason for this is you, as the creator, dont want to focus on how she looks, you want to focus on who she is.
The only pony we regularily see in mlp that has a stand out inate trait is RD with her rainbow mane.
you could make a argument for derpy or the princesses. But the princesses are a special case and the various versions of derpy range from offensive to persectly normal, to shy.
The fandom has trouble deciding on her personality unlike the other background ponies (at least their degree is lesser) in large part because of her eyes.
