Discovery: Bloody Bunny · 3:05am Mar 17th, 2021
So, I just discovered this webseries thanks to a game adaptation that got out not long ago. Bloody Bunny.
Reading the title and seeing the cartoonish, cute design, this interested me! I mean, controlling a cute bunny while cutting enemies into bloody little bits in a world that could pass for the one of Hello Kitty? Who wouldn't get curious at this?
And then, the story: the world is invaded by sentient dolls that kill humans and even capture some to trap their souls into dolls to create more minions. In a doll factory, a girl attempts to escape with her little sister recently turned into a doll, but she gets caught and her soul ends up trapped in a bunny doll. However, she manages to keep her mind, and she starts a rampage to save her sister and stop the evil dolls.
And don't ask me why the dolls bleed. Despite being dolls, they have organs and all, and I have no idea how this is possible. Not much is actually explained, but I hope to learn more in future installments. Because, yeah, I actually really loved it! It's pretty much Kill Bill with dolls. The Kill Bill side is even more apparent as Bloody Bunny uses a knife as a katana. Despite the characters being dolls, the universe is very dark and gorish, and the fights are very epic. And the animation was very good! Both the game and the series! So, now, I can't wait to see more one day as the end promises a continuation.
And then, I discovered that there were several series about Bloody Bunny, each very different. There are actually four of them, and the one I have been talking about, adapted in a game, was the last one, The First Blood, from 2016. The darkest and bloodiest of the four series.
The first series is pretty much like the fourth, but with less work. And where in The First Blood, Bloody Bunny is a human girl soul trapped in a bunny doll; in the first series, this is actually the doll of a girl who somehow gained sentience to avenge her mistress.
The second series, Don't Be My Enemy, is totally different. BB is a doll from a family of assassins, and we follow her in a series of adventures. I haven't seen much of this one yet, but it seems to be more comedy oriented while remaining bloody.
And then, there's the third series, Ayupan x Bloody Bunny, where Bloody Bunny is a god trapped in a doll who has to fight a vampire lord, who has also been trapped in a doll, with the help of a jpop idol. This one is probably the more kid-friendly of the bunch.
Clearly the fourth series is the best one, by far. I mean, it got a video game adaptation! How many webseries got one? So I really advice it. However, it isn't really long. The series itself, 15 episodes, only lasts a dozen of minutes. As for the game, a couple of hours more or less.
Oui?
yeah,i actually find the series about two or tree years ago,but I don't Know they were other tree spin-offs,and Then its really impressed me that they realease a game!I Honestly I hope that they are making more episodes afther this.
are you going to send your cmcs in this world because i will see Phantom or apple death being there and helping bloody bunny in his one of the adventures of The First Blood ...

I don't think that I will send them here. As fun as it would be to see Sweetie Belle wreck armies of evil plushies, I already have too many universes planned.

ok I understand
but I wonder if you are going to use this world in one of your stories one day ?

I don't know. The problem is that this world is not developed enough, and after the cliffhanger at the end, I would have no idea what to do.
Could you imagine Apple Bloom facing BB and DR in Thanatos' castle in the Toy Wing?

Totally!
Oh I love Bloody Bunny! I do remamber watching The First Blood on Youtube, and I just really liked it. I'm not really into gore, but this and also Conker's Bad Fur Day, its an exception. I just really like Bloody Bunny for the animation and the story. And Blood!
