Tickling Try-Out is Getting Sequels! (and It Now Has Cover Art!) · 8:06am Mar 10th, 2021
My story Tickling Try-Out ends with Applejack and Rainbow Dash, after experiencing lighthearted tickling for the first time in a very long while, ending up wanting to not only participate in tickling more in the future, but move deeper into it. Do things like go into a session with the tickling expert Pinkie Pie, participate in tickle parties, and tickle other ponies themselves. They consider it a new addition to their life.
By any chance, am I going to write stories for that? Will AJ and Dash's new tickling adventures be shown?
I also mentioned in an earlier blog, Mane Six Tickle Headcanons, that when it comes to the Mane Six and their most ticklish spots + whether they enjoy tickling, some of the data is incomplete or totally missing.
By any chance, am I going to write stories that will complete the data?
The answer to both of those questions is... yes! 
Here's the news I've been waiting to share. Tickling Try-Out is part of a series, of which it is the opening story of. It is the beginning of a series which I will call Adventures in Tickling. Props to Captain_Cosmos for suggesting this title; that's exactly what the series is!
I'm not going to go deeper into that; at least right now, I'd rather wait for the stories to reveal their content themselves. Not spoil them.
This announcement also leads to something more: Given that I'm almost certain Adventures in Tickling will extend to three stories or more, a new bookshelf has been added to my library. Wa-hoo; first expansion of that place in a while!
This bookshelf is the central hub for the series; where all the stories will be housed in one place. I make these bookshelves when a series I write extends to three stories or beyond, because when you tag a story as a sequel, the story main pages of it and its prequel, through the built-in embed and link, only show each other. Any stories in the series two numbers down from the one you're looking at will be invisible.
True, I also have remedied this by added a table of contents to Tickling Try-Out's description, and all stories in the series will have that too, but I wanted to have a neutral site for them all, as in, you don't have to be on the main page of one of the series' members to view the entirety of it from one page. Just a quirk I have.
For a visual cue of what I'm talking about, this is the exact same thing I did with my other bookshelved series, Player 4 Goes to Equestria. That series' bookshelf, which is linked right here, and the descriptions of its stories should explain my setup.
When will story #2 of Adventures in Tickling be out? Well... not for a while. There are not only other stories I want to get to first, but I also had to delay the next part of this series after I accepted a request.
Part 2 of Adventures in Tickling held the #12 spot on my story list (I'm currently at simultaneous #7 and #9), but after I realized my writing speed would not get me to the #14 slot within the time frame I personally consider acceptable to leave a story request waiting, I let the requested story take the #12 spot, moving Tickling Try-Out's sequel down to #14.
And again, note that the two stories currently in progress as of when I'm writing this blog are stories #7 and #9. Beyond that, I try to only work on two stories at once, and #11 and #13 are likely to be very long (#11 especially). So yeah, even though I'm announcing it and creating the bookshelf now, I don't expect the Adventures in Tickling series to be updated until probably sometime this fall. 
Unless the list changes, which it might. It has changed many times and I always leave it subject to doing so. Or if I can speed up my writing, which I think is also possible.
Still though, I felt like this was worth announcing. It is early, but why not? I didn't see any reason to delay this announcement further. It sure does give me excitement to add both a new bookshelf to my library and a table of contents to Tickling Try-Out's description featuring the next entry covered in question marks, even though the story title behind those question marks won't be revealed super soon. Anyone else feel the same way?
I also stated earlier that I've already waited for a while to do this. And here it is. Tickling Try-Out will be getting a sequel and more. My current outline of the series displays four stories in it (Ironic, given my username. 
) Hope you're excited!
