Well, it's that time that I knew one day would have to come but part of me was always hoping it would come later. As some of you know, those that might have read my blog in any case, I happened on this little section of the internet this summer. I had come back from Japan due to my Dad having had a heart attack and like the good son helped out and did what needed to be done including buying their house and setting up shop in the basement.

I was effectively heavy lifting / yardwork man for a while. Things like mowing the lawn, helping to weed the garden, tote that barge, lift that bale etc. He's gotten stronger, he's practically back up to full strength and I've pretty much gotten tired of living here. And I've been bored out of my mind being out of work for the past several months. I thought of going into consulting and charging a ridiculous rate but that involves things like actually having to search for customers and crap like that so I've decided to go back to work starting in January.

But Evil Homer, it's only December. What are you going to do for the next month? I'm glad you asked, even if you didn't I'm going to assume you did. Honestly, it's about time I grew up. Yeah, I know what you're saying technically I am already a grown up but I've also been avoiding certain other responsibilities for the longest time. I've decided to finally marry my long time, long suffering girlfriend of several years. She's stuck by me this long, stayed by me even after I had to leave Japan to come back here and after several long-distance phone calls this week we've finally decided on setting a date.

So, December will be spent moving back to Tokyo into our reasonably nice apartment in Shinagawa. Hey, it's 64 square metres, 2 bedrooms, on the monorail line and it's cheap. What's not to like? The next day we're hitting City Hall, signing the papers and taking off on a 3 week honeymoon. Then it's back to Google in January as I never actually quit in the first place but just took a leave of absence.

And finally, why am I bothering to make this blog? Well, I feel I owe some people an explanation as to where I'm going and why. Also, season 3 of MLP just felt hollow as did a good portion of season 2. There's just no more fun in the series and reviewing fanfics has started to become a chore. And once something becomes a chore, it's no longer fun and needs to be stopped. So yeah, pretty much once this has been posted I will be closing up shop. I might pop my head back in from time to time to see how things are going but I honestly doubt that's going to happen. Once I leave, I generally stay gone. Oh I have every intention of coming back but then weeks turn into months, months turn into years and it generally fizzles away after that.

A final word to Fiddlesticks because I know you just can't stay away from me. I'm like that itch that you just cant scratch. It bothers you so much that I'm still here and had I not blocked you for being a cock, I'm sure you'd have already commented several times on my blog or my page and I can only imagine how much that burns you to know that you can't reach me. I'm pretty sure you've complained to your circlejerk of friends, lording over them and lapping up their adulation like a cat does from a bowl of cream yet decrying the same thing when others do it. You're a pathetic little child who will amount to nothing. Me on the other hand, I'm richer than you could ever hope to be, I'm moving back to one of the most dynamic cities in the world, I'm fucking smarter than you and I know it and to top it all off on a scale of 1-10 my fiancee is a 9 1/2. Life is good. For me that is, for you it's less good and that fills me with such joy that I'm grateful for the Germans to have created such a wonderful word as schadenfreude because that sums up what I feel. So do your little victory dance, have your followers lick your ass until you cum all over yourself and then cover up your shame.

So yeah, it's been fun but like all things there comes a day when we need to put away childish things and unfortunately MLP and Fimfiction are two of them.

Hey man, a fandom is a fandom, and you're smart enough to know when you have a life to live outside of it. Please go do so and enjoy yourself

Well, it was nice knowing ya Homer, have a prosperous and fun life with your love :pinkiehappy:
If ya ever come back just to see how things are going, give me a ring :derpytongue2:

Sad to see you go, man. It's been fun though.

During your time at the TWE, you've been a very efficient reviewer, and you've performed your service to FIMFiction admirably.

I salute you, my friend, and I wish you all the luck in the world with your marriage and future. We'll never forget you. I hope you extend to us the same thoughts.

~KillerSteel, TWE Administration

You will be missed, and I still pictured Homer's voice as I read this.

If there's one thing to be sad of in particular; it's that you choose to make your last declarations and farewells a spiteful one.
Well, always Evil Homer :pinkiesad2:, even in the end.

The rest of us are sad to see you go; you've been a facet of the group, a personality and charm and all that toutable shit (is that a word?)

Live and love good...

and send us all some cheap, cooky and hilarious baubles from that crazy country, ya hear?dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Lyra2.png

,,,, All I can say is, Godspeed, you magnificent bastard. Good luck with life, and may you live an exciting one.

Next to a monorail, huh? Ever seen "The Blues Brothers", when they look at Elwood's apartment near the train tracks? And everytime the train passes, the whole place shakes?

Nah, that's simply cinema. Best of luck in your endeavor.

Well then, goodbye. You were one of the best TWE reviewers, among other things.

God damn it. Why is it that all of the awesome people are leaving MLP?

Oh well. Enjoy yourself Homer. I hope you live out the rest of your days as a happy man content with his life.

Good luck and godspeed.

Sad to see you go. Only reason I noticed was I had one less follower.

Hope you find what you're looking for and maybe we'll see you around these parts again some day.

None of what you said seems very likely. I'm guessing you're just making another account.
I won't even get into the intelligence and juvenility issues

You know, even if you're not around here anymore, you're still welcome any time on Skype.

In any event, it's been an honor. See ya around, buddy.

Did I said God two years ago?

You were my favorite reviewer on this entire website.
Hopefully some day you'll come back for old time's sake.
Have a good life.
