I had the same issue with my story. After finding some some MAJOR mistakes and other things wrong with it, I took some time off, then I came back and re-wrote it.
But next time, make sure you know what you're doing.

I am never trying that again, I was just way too far out of my comfort zone. I can't say I didn't know any better while doing this (I can say I had no clue what I was doing), I am a genius, and I am not padding my resumè here, I am a genius. I talked the possibility of wormhole travel, and I am just old enough to drive. I am just lazy. I did not think at all before writing a single letter in that (good for my Fallout: Pony Land! fic, not for an attempt at... that).
