New Midnight Rising chapter releasing on Monday evening

And I do mean new. As in, brand spanking new, with very little pulled over from the original story.

It was a bit of struggle to write, since I went from just trying to figure out how to incorporate Maud for the first half--which I did, and I daresay quite successfully--only to find that instead picking up from where the story left over previously (in other words, heading into Midnight punishing Upper Crust followed by Sour Sweet), the chapter wanted to go in an entirely different direction.

Who was I to deny its wish? So... this new chapter will mark a sharp departure from the original version of the story, as in addition to Maud, we're going to explore the previously glossed-over pairings of the Humane 6, and in the process, bring in a new race that wasn't even present before and explore them a bit. Who, you ask?

Dragons! As in, adolescent dragons like Garble or Ember and not the greed-grown ones. The pairings will be RariPie and FlutterSet. But to make sure I'm not just doing them for their own sake--which I certainly don't mind!--I'm working in a reason as to why those pairings and actual sex need to occur in context of the story. Sunset is going to get some a bit early this time, and human Rarity's interests will show themselves to be *slightly* different than the pony one.

I still have to make a couple editing passes and wait for another preread, but the chapter launches tomorrow night. Be looking for it. And be looking for another blog in a day or two that will explain what I've decided to do for a bloated list of writing projects that can't all be done at once.
