To my knowledge, it's quite easy. Download the models, run them through whatever sequencing thing exists, boom you have animation. That's why there's so many low-quality 3D animations out there.

Of course, all the stuff that isn't Twilight herself in that video is in-house, and rightly worth praise. I just hate the way SFM looks, I always have. And because anyone can do it, it's everywhere. :/

Old blog, but since I stumbled here and it's big business, I might as well let more people know.

If it gives any closure, I as a Chinese Brony would like to confirm that Robinrain is seen as a jerk because of the things he did.

He quitted the fandom, and while we're sad to lose his talent, he apparently left too much hurt on us.

I'd say more, but all I have is a video about how he accused the fandom for being toxic (told from a bystander, of course, because robinrain deleted nearly everything pony-related) and a few screencap posts from him that are already deleted, and according to the comments, that accusation is baseless.

I can show the screecaps if you like, but a) They're pretty hurtful and b) Most of them are in Chinese.

To be honest I wasn't part of the drama back then Because of the pandemic and school being a distraction, but I know that at this moment no one in our fandom likes him, and when he restored some of his old Pony animations, and the topics are being brought up again, no one is able to speak for him.
He once reached out to 4everfreebrony about this and wanted to get music for his animation.
After this incident, one of us talked with 4everfreebrony via PM and these are the results:

Edit: Boy, these pictures are too long and got mushed. I'll just say that 4everfreebrony got the point, and he was going to participate in it but decided not because of multiple reason, and he agreed that Robinrain was indeed being rude about this.

Anyway, about animations, Robinrain had a friend back then when Making those Pony videos.
That friend of his made This great video about his personal Pony OC as a tribute.
It took two years, and I don't see it on YouTube, so I'd like to share it somewhere where it could receive more appreciation.

And back to what he said in the end, except for his speech about him antagonizing us who forced him to make stuff, and about how he wasn't in a good situation back then, There's also the speech about how he is much better than the most of us and no one will be able to best him at animation in our local fandom and is able to produce excellent content with commitment like him. (And if I recall correctly, something about challenging Lullaby of a Princess is also There)

That's some arrogant stuff, and I find it strange that he actually apologized for his bad speech before but never considered that we had to tolerate his speech before some of our more "aggressive" people attack back.

I personally hate it when people don't explain them selves well and expect others to understand stuff. When we started talking about his restored animation one year later at the end of 2022, he peeked in and warned us again. I took this as an opportunity to communicate with him as an outsider, but he obviously don't want to talk about it, not even explaining a little.

Which gave me the impression that he said these words There just to spite us.

This case may seem similar to AshleyH's remembrance project that was only recently formally announced to be cancelled in a video, but I don't think so. For one, Robinrain over here ditched our fandom like trash and apparently he thinks that too many of us are too arrogant. And he used some pretty awful words.
And he said about how better he is without this fandom. This is just plain rude. I recalled that we donated to him more than 1000 dollars worth, but in the end stuff just went down and created hate.

Now about the better stuff. Our community over here is growing, and we're trying to do better. I never knew what could have caused his outburst, but we are already avoiding hate as much as we can.

Sigh…Sorry, I really said too much over there.

The point is that I felt the need to clarify stuff and make sure that things are clear under a post like this.
Especially when communication easily gets blocked when going in and out of my country. I just assumed that he doesn't care about explaining things on a worldwide scale when most of his annoyance is here.

I don't like unearthing old dramas either, but I felt that the mistakes are possibilities for learning from the past just to avoid future problems. And eventually move on to a better future.
And I just figured that making things clear from another perspective under here gives better closure.

Sorry again for the ramble, I tend to do that.
Animation is kind of a big deal, And I just like to make the best of the information I have.
