Storylines or Arcs for Season 13 and beyond... · 5:34pm Feb 7th, 2021
Hey guys,
So, I want to make an announcement and say that the "War against Grogar" arc will end after Season 13. So, I'm asking you what story arcs you would like me to cover after Season 13, etc.? Let me give you an example:
1. One Idea I had was for somepony to fall in love with Twilight, but she becomes hesitiant of the idea. Much like the war on Grogar arc, it would take time.
2. My next idea is that there would there would be a villain far greater than Grogar. In the Season 13 finale, Grogar is defeated, but his spirit is absorbed by a far greater threat than himself. A few years ago, I came across this picture of a group of villains standing before Twilight and her friends and I paid close attention to the alicorn like creature towering over hero and villain. What is your thoughts on this?

Would you be touching on the potential of darkness stuff with Luna too and her darker self/split personality(the real Nightmare Moon I mean, not the fake clone that is running around).
Maybe even use a concept from G1 about the Rainbow of Darkness there with Luna/Nightmare Moon.
Think you would be touching on about how Spike was included in the rainbow laser? Like the whole 7th Element bit? Maybe finally touch on about his real parents there.
What if Kamen Rider stuff would end up crossing over too like how Power Rangers is being involved?
Your still continuing this series even when G5 is coming out? If so, can you please have Star Tracker to return to be part of a role with a friendship with Twilight?

I'd love it if we got to explore the rest of the planet, to the end of the Earth. Maybe have that as the new overarching storyline? Also, I personally find the Power Rangers and Transformers things a little too distracting from the ponies themselves. Perhaps toss in a couple of love interests (especially for Rarity and Applejack)?
For the first idea, it would be interesting, but would it be Flash Sentry, a pony version of Timber Spruce, or a new lover for Twilight? Also it would be a good idea to see how a relationship can affect Twilight’s duties as a ruler of Equestria.
Have you considered having Flash Sentry be the one Twilight falls in love with or a younger stallion?
Perhaps Season 14 can go a Lighter and Softer route than the multi-season Grogar War arc (i.e. give Equestria a proper chance to heal from said war), focusing predominantly on Slice of Life, but also showing the assorted sapient races at the varying stages of recovery and the work that goes into helping with said recovery) with no antagonists worse than basic bullies, crooked business types and Monsters of the Week. Essentially a Breather Season, if you will. At least until the Season Finale (and, even then, it's still somebody the heroes can decisively defeat within two episodes, like in the first nine seasons).
So, yeah, I vote go for the stallion falling in love with Twilight, but it takes several seasons to develop properly. Still a multi-season arc, but more light-hearted than your "Legion" Arc.
And perhaps Season 15 can have a multiverse arc (i.e. expanding the magic of friendship to assorted other universes [including an actual team-up with the Power Ponies {the Mane Six and Spike sharing the adventure with the real comic book heroes rather than playing the heroes' roles}, an adaptation of the "Reflections Arc" of the IDW Comics {Celestia, Luna, the Mane Six and Spike teaming up with a good guy version of Sombra as well as the heroic counterparts of assorted other villains} and, especially Starlight, Celestia, Luna, the Pillars and the Mane Six helping out in each of the alternate timelines Starlight created in her attempts to stop the first Sonic Rainboom]).
As for your "new villain", well, that DOES have potential, but I'd probably wait until Season Sixteen before unleashing it (i.e. it DOES get infected with Grogar's soul, but it bides its time gathering its strength and assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy BEFORE striking).
And, if any of the Legion reform in Season 13, Season 14 (and possibly Season 15) can show the former villains also working to earn the trust and respect of those they once helped terrorize.
As for romance, well, that could be a great future build up if done properly.
Obviously, there could be some stuff with Pinkie and Cheese Sandwich working together to help bring joy to the post-war world and end up getting closer as a result.
Another possible romantic set-up could include Ember and Thorax working together on various subjects that strongly effect both Changelings AND dragons and realize they DO make an excellent team - each playing well to the other's strengths while also covering for the other's weaknesses.
As well as, of course, Gallus and Silverstream, Sandbar and Yona, Fluttershy and Discord and Starlight and Sunburst. And possibly Spike and Gabby , Rarity and Capper and Flash Sentry and Moondancer (Flash DOES seem to love the bookish type of girl/mare).

About the adaption of the Reflections arc, I hope it doesn't end up being Luna gets taken out while mirror Luna got betrayed without repercussions.(The arc was interested but it felt like Luna got shafted for Celestia with Luna getting taken out like that while Celestia is still fighting. I didn't like that part a bunch)
If Grogar is defeated then it should be for the best that some greater evil doesn't take his place, because that evil would just seem like an extension of Grogar and would feel like a glorified reset button.
Instead, Seasons 14 onward could start paving the way towards "The Last Problem" but with some revisions to go along with the developments that have occurred in Seasons 10-13.

Yeah. That DOES sound like a pretty good idea, SPB 12. :-D Stuff that paves the way for an only VERY slightly modified version of the future we saw in "the Last Problem" DOES make the most sense for Season 14 (and possibly 15 as well). Predominantly Slice of Life stuff with very few villains worse than basic bullies, crooked business types and Monsters of the Week. Instead, the focus on the Season being on overall recovery from the war and everybody helping everybody else to build toward said recovery. Oh, and if any villains DO reform in Season 13, Season 14 onward can also include them working hard to prove they really have changed for the much better.

Well, I have to admit that I can definitely see your points. And, well, the Luna/Nightmare Moon deal sounds like it would make most sense as a series of "episodes" involving a support group for reformed villains (after all, Equestria LITERALLY DOES have enough of THOSE to form their own support group).
As for Spike, well, there would, indeed, probably be at least a few universes where he would get to help out (especially the Starlight-created alternate timelines as he is the only one other than Twilight that has seen most of them).
As for the Luna deal. Yeah, I would like to see her play a more active role in that adventure too.
First off, I just want to say I have been enjoying your continuation stories of MLP:FIM since the first day of Season 10 and I am looking forward to what you have in store for the series.
Just seeing your post here I thought could throw a few ideas into the hat for future stories:
- We see Twilight, Spike, the Main 6, the CMC, the Student 6, Luster Dawn, Flurry Heart, and the rest of their families and friends growing older and learning and dealing with all the struggles that comes with reality.
- Seeing more teacher and student time with Twilight and Luster Dawn, and maybe have Luster Dawn save her mentor, Sunset Shimmer, and here EG friends from a dangerous, but funny, situation. (If interested in knowing what, I can explain.)
- Some more Slice of Life episodes.
- Starting romances and seeing if they work out or not.
- Having some peace time after the war with Grogar is over.
- Having Twilight's friends ascending after sacrificing themselves to save her during a big boss battle, then coming back in an Endgame way in their new alicorn forms to end the fight. (This may be out there, but I seen stories where they are all alicorns and I just thought that if and when you decide to end this series you have a nice ending with them all as rulers of Equestria. Also I just love Endgame, still by far the best MCU movie to date.)
- Having the multiverses help contribute to a golden age and peace in Equestria like in the MLP:FIM series finale.
- Having the last Season in the future with the Main 6 as Alicorns and rulers of Equestria dealing with their lives, having students of their own, and having Twilight and Luster Dawn in a relationship like Celestia and Twilight have had.
There you have it, I hope they can help with the future of this series. (They are just ideas to help you along the way, what you do with this story is up to you and I am looking forward to what is to come.)

I can see some villains pop up, like some organization firmly believing Luna's inner darkness has the power to create a "new world".
Like a new order, a paradise of darkness. Maybe even something like the Rainbow Of Darkness from G1 or connected to some ancient history predating even Grogar's era of ruling. Maybe even this organization believes Twilight and the others must die and believe Luna should have the throne.
Where Luna ends up struggling as these villains make her realize she can't escape her "destiny" and she fears she is meant to become a "monster" that will plunge Equestria into darkness as its ruler and that she might end up hurting everyone she loves.
Like the fact she is always a being of darkness, that represents/embodies darkness that has yet to awake its full potential.
Eventually Luna ending up embracing her darker self(like I said, the real split personality that is NMM, not the fake clone).
And showing that darkness isn't always evil and is supposed to exist with the light and such.
While her interactions of Nightmare Moon would touch on more mental health stuff in terms of split personality.
The writers confirmed NMM is essentially a split personality born from Luna bottling everything up, I feel like this is a huge opportunity for the projects to touch on.
Its disappointing about the whole "cloning" thing the projects went instead honestly..
If the alternate timelines from Starlight's shenanigans still exist, I hope Luna sees the Nightmare Moon timeline to see that Eternal Night wouldn't kill everyone one, Equestria looked completely fine.
If eternal night would kill everyone, it would contradict Luna/NMM's goals since they want their night to be loved.
As for Spike, I hope to see him interact more with Luna big time. Those two clicked so good in Sparkle's Seven and I feel like they share alot in common. Hoping they team up together a whole lot.
Hoping some issues of Luna retiring is touched on too. It felt like she really got the short end of the stick from the writers.
She didn't get to enjoy her DESTINY(raising the moon, dreamguarding) for much long compared to Celestia raising the sun.
She ultimately didn't get to have much impact as Celestia did in Equestria by ruling, not even close.
Even if there's the Two Sisters Festival, it doesn't change the fact Celestia is going to be remembered way way WAY more often than Luna due to the 1000 years gap. It felt like Luna got screwed by destiny for the sake of Twilight.

Well the 1st question; I say Flash Sentry since different Multiverses have different outcomes like Human Twilight in a relationship with Timber.
the 2nd idea is the more appearance of Diamond Dogs and if the Siren Species hasn't gone extinct in Equestria since there isn't any evidence of other Sirens other then The Dazzlings. Also I like the idea of a chapter with Arachne and Driders; 2 species live together and Fluttershy mets one who... is draining a cute animal of its blood for food. (Yeah... its dark but every creature can't live on sweets all the time) who said that ponies cannot be trusted since he or she depends on Twilightsparkle3562's choice saying that Pony species gave other species false trust, friendship and promises while taking everything for themselves. The Arachne and/or Drider will ask Fluttershy how did her species prosper so well while other species didn't? He/she'll say that her history doesn't mean its all true, leaving Fluttershy to question if Ponies are naturally good since no one ever question their accomplishments.

Remeber Nightmare Moon & the Pony of Shadows?
-The POS was the reason the Elements of Harmony were made by the Pillars of Equestria
-Nightmare Moon was the reason they were acquired by the MANe 6
- This force could've influenced Sunset Shimmer & Starlight Glimmer.
- Could've created the Storm King so the Young Six would come together.
- My point is that the possibility that everything their doing is part of the evil plot of an evil deity.
2. Celestia could deal with the consequence3s of her selfish actions and take responsibility for Twilight's PTSD.

Remember how Applejack told the story of the Pony of Shadows that was roaming the castle that was remnants of NMM's dark magic that didn't get sent to the moon? I wished the writers could have touched on that big time instead of just pulling what season 7 pulled.
I feel like Spike could have some interaction with Luna more and with Stygian as well due to sharing much in common with them.
Maybe touch on the issues of Luna retiring.
If she retired due to wanting to be with Celestia, there literally could have been a compromise for her to continue ruling while still being with Celestia.
And said reason actually would make Celestia look selfish since Luna had to give everything up due to Celestia decided to retire.
Really.. either reason of Luna retiring just causes issues honestly..

Maybe a love triangle like Flash Sentry and Star Tracker fall for Twilight. I dont know if Grogar could be replaced, or that he should be. Honestly, I'd hate for that to happen a second time like with the Discord thing. One thing I notice is that you had Luster Dawn listed as a main character in your seasons but she seems pretty minor to be honest. You definitely need more development for her.
Frankly, I wanna know what series is gonna crossover with this next, first it was Beast Wars: Transformers in Season 11, then Power Rangers in Season 12, what's next?

Given how its the counterpart to Super Sentai(what Power Rangers was in Japan before its adapted into PR there) and how they often crossover(sadly we didn't see those crossovers in America due to Kamen Rider doesn't get english adaptions for any of its series except for 2 of them).
And how the author included VR Troopers(which is also another Tokusatsu series adapted into english stuff like Power Rangers)

As in the issue of it means Luna really doesn't have any dark powers but its just something outside taking over and such..
Using a date calculator and assuming season 13 goes by at roughly the same pace as season 12 with the same two week intermission between the two seasons, it should end late August to early September. Since that will be the end of the Grogar arc, that means anyone on here familiar with the CM trope can do an effortpost on Grogar in the TV Tropes CM thread in September two weeks after the arc ends. I just hope that wouldn't put the discussion date at September 11 2021. That would be rather disturbing.
As for what story ideas could be done beyond season 13, if we haven't gotten back to them by the end of season 13, I would like to see what Suri, Lightning Dust, and Spoiled Rich have been up to. I am not certain about another villain, though if done, they need to be treated right and given a backstory. If any of the current villains end up being reformed, they should get a good bit of focus in the following arcs.
