Is Star Wars: Tales of the Empire good?

    I'm genuinely asking.

To be honest with you guys, I'm pretty much done with Disney Star Wars. I've just recently finished watching the series finale of "The Bad Batch" which is a pretty decent show overall. The final season as a whole felt really slow and dull, but it was okay.

***********

Hey, guys. Mr. J here with another horrible movie to review. While it is not anger-inducing, it is most definitely cringe-inducing... and believe me, it is fully CRINGE-inducing in every sense of the phrase. Back in 2007, I actually liked this film for some reason. To be frank with you all, there were times when I used to replay some of the action scenes because of how catchy it was. But as I got a lot older over the years, I started to be bored of this film and just forget I ever watched it in the first place. I am so thankful this disgusting piece of bile is severely underrated and not talked about so much because of how abysmal the live-action adaption is.

Now, you all may be wondering if I ever watched the original cartoon series “Underdog” from the 1960s. The thing is, I only watched about a couple episodes, and I honestly don’t like it either mostly because of how cheesy, cliche, sluggish, and generic they are. So I can care less about the cartoon and this movie altogether. It is a trash franchise.

To add insult to injury, this movie has three actors I actually enjoyed watching in other films/shows; two of those men I even admire: Brad Garrett, Patrick Warburton, and Jim Belushi. What the heck are they doing in this movie?!? Even they couldn’t save this entire movie from utter failure!! I mean, aside from the fact they tried to do their absolute best performance they could with an incredibly awful script, the acting is atrociously underwhelming especially that Unger kid and his girlfriend Molly. Ughhh!

Don’t get me started with the horrible humor and jokes it is filled with. One example would be Shoeshine’s atrocious dog pun:

Holy cow, they’re made of dog!

Seriously? People are eating hot dogs in public, and right after your terrible pun, people are now starting to spit them out? Haha, you got the whole squad laughing. 🙄

Barsinister is just a lame villain with a boring “Simon says” gimmick from the cartoon. No disrespect to the actor who played him, but he was just wasted in this film. Same goes for the three phenomenal individuals I mentioned above.

The story is weak and boring, the visuals are... meh, the soundtrack is lame, and the action is completely forgettable. What more can I say about it other than it makes me cringe every time I look back on it and wish I never watched it from the beginning. 0/10, it sucked, are you even surprised? Of course not, and I don’t recommend it to anyone.

Peace out. ✌🏼

Theme song was good, though.

Only remember having this on at daycare. And yet still super fuzzy.

I actually love this film, to be honest. It’s not perfect, but it was fun to watch in every way. At least, to me.
