Plans for 2021 · 1:47am Jan 5th, 2021
Hello everybody, and welcome to the new year!
2020 has been a real shitshow overall, but for me personally, it's been a breath of fresh air. During this year, I found my true self, begun writing, and even made some new friends in the form of Quills and Sofas.
But that begs the question, what next?
Good question me, for in the grand scheme of things, I'm not fully sure. However, I do have a rough outline of something's I'd like to do this year on the writing scale of things. For those prolific fans of mine who may have discovered me through my editing for some of my friends, I have some big news.
You might have heard about this fun little event that ran on the site last month. It's a small little thing, kind of obscure really. The event comprises of putting your name in a 'hat' with a short story request, and receiving another request for you to write.
This is Jinglemas in its simplest form.
Now that it's coming to a close however, I aim to pick up my biggest project ever.
I am going to read and review EVERY STORY from Jinglemas 2020. This will by no means be a quick thing. I want to put care into this, so expect it to last probably into next Jinglemas at worst, and July at best.
Regarding stories, there are a few things to expect.
I've been brainstorming a lot, getting ideas for things to write. I thought It'd be best to let you in on some of these ideas I have cooking up.
At some point in the future, you should expect:
- A Coco Pommel x Lightning Dust fic exploring how their friendship affected Coco and how it came to be.
- A Screw Loose fic about freedom, recovery, trust, and curiosity about the past.
- A lighthearted fic about Citrine Spark and Strawberry Scoop meeting at the School of Friendship and starting to build careers as they become closer.
- An exploration into the cryptic and dark topic of a deteriorating mind through the eyes of Lyra.
- A Maud story about confidence, learning about comedy, and being reminded that there are others like you.
- A cute fic about Marble getting over Big Mac as she meets someone else with a work ethic that she can relate to.
...and probably many more that will come to me later, or I just haven't revealed yet for sake of secrecy. Now, I am not a fast writer by any means, and some of these are a tad on the big side for my skills, but I do want to get started on at least one or two of these eventually.
Anywho, I'll see you on the flipside.
Now that is one hell of an ambitious project mate, but I know you can do it!
I'm looking forward to all of it. I'm already getting excited to read the stories.
