Happy 2021 Everyone! · 2:53am Jan 2nd, 2021
First blog post of the new year! From me, anyway.
I know I've got projects I need to finish, and I am working on them (slowly) but I wanted to let you all know that I've been poking at a new large project, and getting a few chapters and pre-planning done while I work on other things. Consider this a 'sneak preview' of what's to come later this year:
I had a headache.
Like, a really bad one. Probably it was from being hit in the head, but also maybe being shot a few times with stun bolts, which might rhyme with fun but are otherwise completely unrelated. On top of that, well, have you ever taken a nap, and it goes on just a little too long and you wake up and you have absolutely no idea what time it is? I had that in spades.
I groaned and tried to sit up. The steel bench under me creaked and rocked. I could feel we were moving before I was really aware of what that meant.
“Hey you, you’re finally awake.”
You sure this is a Fallout crossover, not a Skyrim one?
Damn you, Todd Howard!
Well then. I have read exactly zero Fallout Equestria stories. Will this be readable for someone with no familiarity, including the games?

It's going to be set before the main story, and I've only read like three of them myself, so it should be fine.

Well, Fallout is Skyrim with guns, right? So if we reverse the polarity...

Nice, I'll give it a shot, then.
Happy New Year
Well now. Color me intrigued. Goodness knows it's easier to work dragons into this setting than the usual Fallout.

Happy new year! :)
And ooh, neat. :)
Well, I look forward to finding out what that's about! :D

You know (and I'm just relating an anecdote that reminded me of, not trying to put any pressure on you or anything like that), the original Fallout Equestria was actually what finally pushed me to find some way of running a Fallout game? I'd heard of them before that, but never played them. After getting a ways into FoE, though, I quite wanted to, and eventually I got, as I recall, a DOS copy of Fallout 1 running, and liked it despite I think some sound issues with the DOS version. Then later I played Fallout 2 in Wine (which I think I also started using from the quest to play Fallout games), and later still New Vegas. Then later still I tried to get Fallout 3 running, failed repeatedly, eventually decided that, based on what I'd read, I didn't actually care that much, and gave up. Then much later, just recently in fact, I briefly idly entertained the idea of maybe finding some way to run Fallout 4, if I could find a copy at a good price... and then did some more research on Fallout 4 and decided, nope, don't even want to bother trying. But despite how long it's been seen I last played, I still try and keep a version of Wine that'll run New Vegas, just in case.
Ah, memories. :)

I obviously can't really recommend this story that isn't even out yet, due to not having read any of it due to it not being out, but I hope you enjoy it when it does come out!
I've had a lot of fun with FoE myself over the years, in various ways.
Hmm, the FoE story has an interesting front page.
