Nailah as Snow Heart
Soaring as Soaring

Snow Heart

Snow Heart hated being a Princess at times. Meetings with noble ponies, talk of poilitics, and just the way other ponies looked at her when they saw what she was. Ponies treated her differently, but she was just a pony. Just like them. She didn't want to feel above them or superior because she had bat wings, she wanted to be part of the group of ponies of her Kingdom. She decided that she needed to take a bit of time to herself. A nice break into the world outside her castle seemed like a good start. Now if only she didn't have all this paperwork to do. She didn't want to just put it onto her younger sister, that wasn't really fair to Frost Heart. However, suddenly she heard the door opening, and a stallion was trotting right up to her, focused on her. Oh great...not another one*

Soaring

Soaring had heard of the Princess, but how does one approach royalty? She was a Princess, he had no right to even talk to her. However, something in him, pushed him forward. That and his best friend urged him to go for it. What was the worst that could happen?
"Hello, Princess Snow Heart. I..." he hesitated. "Have heard a lot about you, and was wondering...would you like to hang out sometime?" He felt the sweatdrop running down his cheeks.

Snow Heart

"You want to hang out with me? Sure, but only if you're willing to answer some questions. I have seen you around myself, and I am quite the fan." Snow Heart smiled, walking over to him, and extending her hoof, to shake his in friendship. "You know, just because I'm a Princess, doesn't mean you got to treat me differently. I'm just a pony, like you."

“Alright, now tell me my dear friend, what inspired your username?"

Soaring

"My username is inspired by Soarin’, the MLP character, and Marshal Twilight, who helped get my avatar way back in the early days of the fandom." Soaring replied, as he couldn't help admiring the bat Princess. Just another pony? Impossible. She was the most angelic beauty he had seen in some time, and he knew a lot of ponies. He had to get to the bottom of this. Why did she consider herself a no pony? There had to be a reason. Self doubt maybe...something.

Snow Heart

"Hmm, interesting. I always like Soarin as a character, he's such a cute dork of a stallion. And I am a RainbowxSoarin shipper. They're just cute together." Snow Heart blushed, before realizing she was rambling. This wasn't about her, it was about him. After all she had plenty of attention, she wanted to shed some light onto this amazing stallion.*

“What drew you into Mlp?

Soaring

"Therapy mostly. After dealing with a friend’s suicide attempt in 2012, I was distraught and unable to deal with life. I mostly kept to myself during that time, but a friend of mine fortunately noticed the signs of complete and utter loss, so he asked the therapist to check in on me. After being called down to the therapist’s office, who told me that I needed to find my own way in life. She wanted me to do something different, something so different that I would never imagine myself even doing the activity. I went home feeling a bit better, but not sure how I could handle that task. Turns out, after watching TV in the morning on a whim and seeing an episode of MLP, I got sucked in and reported back to my therapist with: “I watched a show about horses. Does that work?” replied Soaring, sighing heavily. His forehooves shifted a bit awkwardly. This wasn't going to change her opinion on him right? Why was he nervous? She had pretty much asked him to talk about himself. Do ponies do this? Why was she doing this? This Princess...she was sure something special.*

Snow Heart

"Oh my gosh...I'm so sorry you went through that." Snow Heart replied embracing him in an embrace without thinking if he'd be okay with physical signs of affection, and concern for her fellow pony. She twitched back, and looked at him, awkwardly as she decided quickly to distract, turn the mood with something more positive. Rainbow Dash is best pony, who does he like?

“Who is your favorite pony and why?

Soaring

"Spitfire. Her confidence is absolutely contagious and she’s real with who she interacts with, and fanfiction spurred this view of Spitfire when I read, Fire & Rain, a story that makes Spitfire more well-rounded than I could ever make her." Soaring spoke with pride. His chest seemed to almost poof out a bit, as he talked about his passion.

Snow Heart

Snow Heart giggled noticing this, it was actually really cute, when a stallion wasn't afraid to show a soft side. The way he talked about Spitfire, reminded her of why she got into ponies in the first place. Seemed like a long time ago, but she was glad she was here, even if it meant she was a Princess now. She beamed, letting her fangs show.*

“Favorite episode and why?”

Soaring

"The Wonderbolt Academy. One of my favorite episodes with Spitfire in it. Really reinforced why she’s my favorite character in the show." replied Soaring. He wondered if the Princess would think him weird for liking Spitfire. After all, there were so many ponies, and Spitfire wasn't one that was liked as much as he thought she'd be. There was a certain bit of doubt, as he took a slight step back, hoping that the Princess wouldn't think him strange for liking a tough pony like Spitfire.*

Snow Heart

"Spitfire is a very solid pony, and I can understand why you like her so much. Heck, my favorite pony in Rainbow Dash admires her too, so I think Spitfire is underrated. I also like her color palette. Reminds me of a Phoenix, and that is sorta what I am. A phoenix. But does Spitfire inspire you in other ways, or perhaps it's something else. Snow Heart paused for dramatic effect
“What inspires you to write?”

Soaring

"Wanting to get good at writing. I wasn’t the best at doing it. In fact, I usually got C’s and D’s in English before I reached high school. Then, suddenly, I became invested in writing after a teacher gave me the option to write a story about a controversial subject that I won’t go into. However, to put it in short, I was able to crank out the assignment in less than a day, and her coercing me into making writing a career path helped me develop into the writer I am today."

Soaring paused for a moment. Admiring the beauty of the Castle. Quite the place, she had here, yet so empty. Perhaps decorations, or more friendships...

"Wanting to improve isn’t the only reason why I want to write. I also have this picture in my head that I want to put into words, and that itch is something I always want to satisfy. Each story has a universe that is waiting to be explored and written, and I felt I was one of the few that needed to do this."

Snow Heart

"That is a good reason as any I think. Writing is quite a lot of fun. I mean I write a lot of silly romance novels because I wanted romance in my life. But who would want a pony like me?" she asked, as she thought of her boyfriend Azure, and found love. She couldn't help blushing like a filly. She decided she needed to distract herself from getting lost in romantic thoughts, that would be rude.

“Tell us about a story that inspires you to write. It doesn’t have to be mlp specifically!”

Soaring

"Unwind by Neal Shusterman. The concept of losing your own identity by having it surgically removed from yourself in the name of equality kept me thinking of how I could capture controversial subjects in creativity concepts." replied Soaring with pride. He enjoyed talking about his interests, and never really thought anyone would even want to hear about him. It was refreshing, and in the pleasant company of a Princess.

Snow Heart

“Give us the background of the author! Tell us all about you. Well in a short summary.

Soaring

"Been writing creatively since I was a senior in highschool. I was a creative writing magazine editor for two years at my university, before graduation with my Bachelor’s in English. I’ve been in the fandom on and off since 2012, and I’m most known for writing a story about an American Civil War slave trying to escape Ghastly Gorge with Rainbow Dash and a story that makes people wonder why ponies would speak in Wingdings."

Snow Heart

“What is one thing mlp has taught you?” asked Snow Heart. It was always nice to just have a normal conservation with some pony, and not have to worry about standing out because of what she was. Sure she was a Princess, but she didn't consider herself to be better than any pony else. She was just like him really. She wanted ponies to care about her, but she wasn't about to act entitled to do so. She wanted ponies to like her for her.

Soaring

" That friendship… ♓︎■︎♐︎●︎◆︎♏︎■︎♍︎♏︎⬧︎ ◆︎⬧︎ ♋︎●︎●︎. Whether positively or negatively does not matter. Each time we meet a new person, that interaction will stick with us for a long, long time."

Snow Heart

"That's a mood, and I totally understand it. Now I don't usually talk about me much. Well I try not too. But well is there anything you want to ask me? Be careful, you only get one question."

Soaring

"Only one eh? Hmmm..." Soaring paused deep in thought. He could ask this baticorn Princess just 1 question. So many questions. How could he limit it to just one. This was tough.

"If you were told by a friend or significant other that you could have anything in the world right now, what would be the first thing that would come to mind and why?

Snow Heart

"Love. I just want to be loved. I have a horrible past, and I just want to be loved. And I feel that as being part of the mlp fandom, and even more so now, that I have somepony special."

Soaring

"Dawwwwh. That is so cute." Soaring let out a neigh of delight. She was more adorable then she knew, and she was certainly somepony very special. Not just another normal pony. It was like she was glowing.

Snow Heart

“Is there anything else you'd like to say?

Soaring
"Writing is what you make of it, which, coincidentally is just like life. If you want to get better at something, don’t let it sit there and control you. Always strive for a better you."

Oh, and Mike White was valedictorian of Turbo Virgin University.
