It's done.
Sorry about taking so long. I just spent about two weeks on leave without real computer access (not that I regret it).
On the subject, and as a heads up, my job's changing such that i'm going to have far less time in which to right as of now. Who knows, sometimes that amount of structure actually makes me write more, but don't get your hopes up. Get them down, in fact.
But anyways, Private Gig. In case you can't tell, I'm doing it in a vaguely act/scene format, if only because it lets me take what I would normally do as chapters as break them up more comfortably. Additionally, there should be intermissions between each act, all of which will be in epistolary format. I like it.
And apparently, even if its not related to the format of my story telling, a lot of my readers like it, too. That's cool. I like that you like it, I enjoy the the positive response, and I've been fantastically entertained by reading the comments.
On the subject of which, to address some things in the comments:
~ The TwiTavia ship. It's far from common. In fact 'Octy x Anypony that isn't Vinyl' is pretty rare. I'd never heard of more than a couple before now, and I'd never heard of a story or seen a picture that ran Twitavia when I came up with the idea for PG. Nonetheless, I don't doubt that somebody thought of it first. As Berry says, there's nothing new under the sun.
~ On the subject of VinylxOcty: It's called OctiScratch. The term Rocktavia is OctyxTom. Fact.
~ Why can't Octy and Twi just get it on? I don't want to to spoil what direction I have planned, but it should be obvious by the end of chapter four that Octavia and Twilight's relationship is going to be somewhat slower than some people may want to see. That's the point of the story in many ways - this isn't a 'romance' in the sense of the romance novel; it's supposed to be romantic.
~ Twilight's friends and their thoughts/beliefs/understanding towards/of Octy. Yeah. Hmm. Spoilers, no? Suffice it to say that this might be an issue in the story. What everypony knows now, will know later, and their personal opinions on the subjects are... that remains to be seen.
Also, sorry about the double/triple post type thing, what with posting a chapter one day, and then posting both a very short intermezzo and a blog post the next day. I was originally going to post the IM at the same time I did Op1Movt4, but I decided near the end that it had to change a lot. Originally it wasn't much about PG and didn't convey half the information it should have.
To which I come to the point: don't think too lowly of the Castle Staff for the Royal Slushie Fund. It's normally used to purchase little things that aren't accounted for in the budget (like the time that Celly is walking though Canterlot and decides she wants a slushie).
Authors do their best now and are preparing. Please wait warmly until it is ready.

If you're going to have Twiocti happen then I would like to see Vinyljack happen.
I like that you're taking the romance slow, very refreshing. That said, I've been getting the feeling that the chapters are over too quickly. If I had to put my hoof on it (ha), I'd say it's less than the chapter/scene format, and more of the fact that there isn't much progress in each chapter. Not that this is always a bad thing (the beginning chapters of Austraeoh, for example), but could explain why some people want things to get going.
So in my opinion, keep the pacing, but make the chapters more significant (content, interactions, or word count, etc.)
Why not Tavi? Octy sounds like a Bond Villain.
I agree with the whole 'Tavi x anypony but Vinyl' thing. There was another one kinda like this in regards to the fact that it was Tavi and some one other than Vinyl but sadly it hasn't updated in forever and I think the author forgot about it. Nd for those interested it was a Rainbow Dash x Octavia fic on Fanfiction.net.
An update that nobody is likely to see, (because I don't want to bother my followers with more blog posts and stuff):
I have no free time, life sucks, Op2Movt1 of PG is almost halfway done, and I've officially submitted this story to EQD. Hopefully it'll go the way of tMiaHM and not Pony is Loyal.
