Year's Been a Hellish Nightmare - but it's not all been horrible!

That said fuck this year. But I also have not abandoned this project, have been learning new skills, and actively working on brainstorming. If it's gonna take three fucking years for me to make proper progress on this shit I might as well add as much to the ideas as I can to make it thematically cohesive and meaningful. That said! Here's a sneak peak to some shit I'm considering. Have fun!

    Blugh. Sorry again.

Okay so long story short. The anxiety's done and gone for the most part, or at least the physical attacks are. But my mother's recently been diagnosed with dementia and I'm having an intense trauma response to it while trying to process all the emotions that come with it, especially seeing as this has always been one of my worst fears. My mother has pills to help slow it down, and it was

    Long Time no See.

It's been months. The last 3-4 months have been exceedingly difficult mentally. But things are, hopefully, slowly getting better. On new medication, using a supplement to treat my anxiety. I've been very exhausted lately and near non functioning some days. Hopefully I'll be back to writing soon. In the mean time everyone please take care of yourselves. You can't be a hero, and can't be

Some of the poetry I mentioned. · 7:56pm Nov 30th, 2020

I figured I'd share some of the poems I have here to make a timeline of when these poems were written, and also to give a tiny sneak peak at some of them. I hope you all enjoy! There's going to be at least 30 poems in the final book, and I'll post about it here when the time comes! After that, I hope to finally be ready to move back onto The Paths we Carve. I have all my notes prepped, and they're pretty much finalized. I just have to finish writing out the actual prose.

Different View

Dreamer
Actor
Lover
Sacrificer

Two wholes makes One pair.
Mix and Match.
Clothe them in rich garments.
Surround them in vibrant echoes.

Reziar and Leviar
Razor and Levity
Two different views
Two different methods

To the ends of the earth one goes.
Altering foundations at their core another does.
Two different views.
Combine into something new.

To dream the dream.
To do the deed.
To appreciate the process.
And to make the journey.

Beyond end
We go.

Dissurrender

As I lay here.
On this sculpted stone.
I look back on all.

Reality seeps.
From porous holes.
Made of lead.

The yawning abyss above.
Of this Heavenly Cathedral.
Corrupted to the bone.

It all collapses down around me.
Stealing my breath from me.
Eyes fizzing.

As my consciousness stirs.
As my chest convulses.
As my awareness dulls.

I swallow hard, I threaten to give.
I close my eyes. And I let my muscles lax.
It all becomes apparent.

That I never stood a chance.
That the world eclipsed me from beginning to end.
And no matter how hard I fight.

There will never be a victory.
There will never be justice wrought.
Nor will healing ever exist.

Yet still.

As I lift a hand.

Place it against my chest.

Take a stuttering breath.

And smile deeply.

I can hear the sound of someone coming.

And it is that moment.

I refuse to surrender.

Love

So much to love, so much to hate.
Thee who swims in the abyss,
Thee who trembles within depression,
Thee who takes joy in no thing,

Is that not misery?

To love it all.
To have so much,
To have infinite wellsprings of joy,
To have something to retreat to at all times,

Is that not wealth?

To love so far, to love so deep,
To have nothing without hand's reach

With loves such as thee.
How fortunate are thou.
To have such sway over spirits.

So much pushes thee.
So much to give thee.
Nothing will thou not defend.
And so much to appreciate.

At its core
There is no limit
To hearts thee touches
With thy love

Hornless

Fur of gray, mane of violet
Belly of gold, scale of red
Blue eyed, green eyed
I see you try so hard
I see you strive so far
My green eyes see
All that you are

My green eyes view
As you push and shove
My green eyes view
As you quiver and strain
My green eyes view
As you nuzzle and ally
Of all things, my green eyes peer at you

I saw, I saw as bone was cleaved in twain
As alicorn fell to ground and all was vain
The moment those tears were shed
The moment your eyes went dead
I watch you, and I reach out to pull your chin up
Because I, I have watched you since first stirrup
Please don't cry, please don't mourn

I know you've had a bad day
I know you've tried so hard
I know how much it hurts
And how much it aches
The loss of limb
The loss of mind
And every vicious snarl

I watch as you still push on
As you weep
And as you tremble
My green eyes see all
My spirit with, my love caress
It all wraps around you
My sweet unirrito.

Please don't give
Please go live
Strive on, for all that be
As once you did before
Take care, keep safe
My whole being?
Will always be with you.

Etheric Matter

Eons ago, a war was fought
Between sun and moon, all was fraught
Avatars of creation, avatars of destruction
None refused to take action.
And still, innocents were caught in the fray.

Blood poured through stone cracks.

Yin and yang, dark and light
In a world where might made right
There were no easy solutions
Not in this world with pollution.
World ravaged, society crumbled.

Debris scattered throughout, all was sacked.

In a world of celestials.
Two may rise.
Embodying the aspects of two elements remaining
Their entry to the war bringing chaos.
And then order all over.

Hope regained, they take back.

That which represented dark matter.
That which influenced and directed.
And that which represented ether.
That which contained its existence.

More than most used as tact.

Together these two avatars of the abnormal.
Came to be as one in an effort to unite.
All that would take to fight.
And as their ripples spread.
Life began to mend.

To lay down weapons, and cease attack.

As order was restored.
As these two brandished elements at their cores.
Peace once more, was allowed to reign.
On all creation, healing rained.
Prosperity took hold once more.

(And here're two of my earlier ones, which is more like a song.)

Courage

Mind racin'
Steps tracin'
Been through this many times before.
Terror lacin'
Can't stop pacin'
A crumbling mountain of good deeds.
Supports fakin'
Stop concentratin'
Push it all away.

It's difficult to push, push, push.
It's difficult to rip, grind, and tear.
Can't tell the mind to shush, shush, shush.
It's all going to tip and there's no way to bear.

Try as you might, pry as much as you can.
The nails hurt, the wood splinters.
The more you do, the more you can't escape.
The results of effort, bliss and pain.

It burns, it cleanses.
It soothes, it gashes.

The wounds run deep, from past and present.
Can't let go, each touch shoots.
All the things you never could let go.

Scars remain.
Each touch entices.
A tingle in the psyche.
Your eyes flutter.
Your eyes roll back.
You feel it all, and teeter on the brink of destruction.

As it all falls down.
Around you.
Collapsed.
Downed.
And pick yourself back up again.
To do it all over again.

Exhausted, defeated, destroyed, and bruised.
Courage is that which pushes forth.
When no solution yet exists.

Lustrous

Grit those chompers
Tense that jaw
Prepare yourself
As the sirens blare
As the red lights flash
As it all goes down
You know it's time
To push past it all.

No one understands existence
No one knows what lies beyond
No one knows how it works
All of it's odd
All of it's strange
Take my hand, please
Because we're about to find out together.
The fringes of all that be.

The heart of a warrior
The beckoning of the fire
The chiming of bells
The glare of crimson
Come with me, it's time to float
It's time to live.
It's time to exist.
Beyond the veil, without sense.

Eldritch, beyond the walls.
Break down the door.
Take a wrecking ball.
Tear it down.
Take the bricks.
Build it up.
The zombies within.
The spirits without.
To them, we are the abnormal

Come with me, grit your teeth.
Throw a punch. Throw a kick.
Our hearts? Will keep us afloat.
Where foundations lie.
Where foundations no longer exist.
Where ghostly hands rise up to pull you down.
Outside of the infection harbored within.
Grit your teeth, now's the time.

Show 'em all the lustrous eldritch steele inside.

----

I have many more where this came from, so be looking forward to it if you liked any of these! And if you didn't like any of these, don't worry. There'll without a doubt be at least *one* poem in the bunch you enjoy and can hold close to your breast. I have a titled in mind for the book already, and I hope you guys will be looking forward to it. My intention is to finally have a supplemental income outside of disability money that I can rely on with my writing career. If you guys have ever been at the mercy of the government, you'll understand exactly why I'm striving for this.
