FYI the masks don't help as Covid-19 is airborne and the masks only really help with waterborne stuff. Keep clean and avoid places known as hotspots if you can is all we can do until a vaccine is produces for public use.

Masks only help a little to keep you from catching the disease, but they help a lot to prevent you from giving it to somepony else. This is why surgeons wear them to protect you.

Most people who are infected do not know for a week (and sometimes, they never know). This is why almost everypony needs to wear a mask at the same time, in order to reduce transmission effectively. The numbers on transmission rate are very clear that it works.
