I already have the story and characters in mind, but I need someone to hear the idea out. Just to see if it all fits together.

Thanks. I should probably start explaining the idea.

1. Altered history - Part 1

• Luna was never banished
• The rainboom never happened • Planet wide event that created magicules
• Magicules also called magic or mana.
• Concentrated magicules create Spirits. In turn spirits infused themselves with new born babies.

1a. Altered History - Part 2

• Those infused with Spirits become blessed, inheriting certain set of traits.
• The main three are Terrans, Skyfolk, and Mages. Each have unique capabilities and abilities
• This also applies to any other species across Equestria.

2. Character Change
• Luna & Celestia rule together, but not without struggle.
• Both have taken on students, Twilight Sparkle and Riften Ab. Normal (OC).
• Regarding the mane six they have different paths, but somewhat correlated.
• Everyone is slightly older

Potential Changes:
The name Riften Ab is a little different. Not sure if it will have any special meaning in the future, so can’t say yet. Just pointing it out.

I would consider changing the names Mages, Skyfolk, and Terrans though. Unless the names mean what they imply, I would change them. This is because they are all very different in how they would portray something. The name Mages implies a more battle magic oriented and rigid school structure culture, Skyfolk sounds like a type of simple sky people or sky farmers, and the word Terran sounds like an entire category of species. I might be looking in too deeply, but the names seem misfitting for different types of unique/blessed people.

Lastly, just to make sure I am not missing something obvious. Do all the new babies get unique attributes or just some?

Not entirely sure what direction the story is going to go but I like the world building so far!

I should probably explain a bit more.

Terrans are the equivalent of Earth ponies, such as Skyfolk to pegasai and unicorns to mages.

And as for the title blessed, its only what the three groups call those when an individual was infused with a spirit. A Spirit contains different sets of traits, becoming the primary traits when they infused themselves into babies. The infusing of spirit to babies also apply to other species, but call it something else.

For example, two mage (unicorn) parents could have a child of their own, but if a spirit infuses itself into the baby it removes the parents dominant traits and adding its own. One moment it was a mage baby, the next its a terran.

Finally, regarding the OC's name it does relate to his ability. I'd be willing to explain what his ability is. If ya want.

Though I'm still not sure of calling one of the races skyfolk. I still think they should be called something a little better themed. An example: If you are born in an upper class city and happen to have wings (blessed or not), being called a skyfolk is a little silly. The other race names still work pretty well but skyfolk is the most iffy to me. Maybe you could change the name to like: a sky walker or an empyrean.
Also no spoilers for the OC's name. :3
