Stories of a Different Nature · 7:27pm Nov 11th, 2020
Hi everyone! I'm not totally sure how many of my followers here are actually active, given that I've been out of the ponyfic game for... well, for years at this point.
During most of that time I've not been writing much, as life has kept me busy enough. But I've sort of fallen back into the habit recently, even if in a different genre. Since I recently completed a story that's longer than anything else I've written, I figured I might as well point my old readers towards new stuff, albeit with a caveat.
Namely, the stuff I write these days... well, I can best describe it as Positive Trans Feels™. Since transitioning a couple of years ago, the subject of gender has been on my mind a lot, and that's what my writing has wound up almost exclusively focusing on. I don't know that it'd be particularly interesting to people who don't find the subject innately compelling, but then, people still regularly read the first story I wrote on here, which I feel like is a terrifically embarrassing self-insert that I wrote because I didn't know how to process my gender feelings in other ways.
So I guess all that being said, if you want to read more of my writing, just without the cartoon ponies, you can do so on scribblehub now. The long story I finished is a comedy, located here: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/161662/trolls-and-tribulations/ I'm not sure if it's, like, good, but its target audience seemed to enjoy it a lot. There's also a couple of other short stories that are more in line with my romance stuff under the same profile (and maybe another one coming soon-ish if I finish it).
And with that, I'll disappear again. Best wishes to everyone in the land of horses!
(raises one hand and waves) As Pony fans, we tend to think of other pony fans as just pony fans without realizing everybody's 'fandom' arc is more like a long colorful string, and it just happens to cross other long colorful strings on the 'pony' section. Glad to see you're still around and producing.
Well I, for one, am still here, and also quite excited to suddenly have been made aware of more of your works! Many of the old guard have indeed bled off of the site. However, Figments has actually been working on a positive platform for original fiction called Offprint, which though still in alpha, already has garnered a good amount of support. Maybe you could crosspost your work there too? I'd actually never heard of Scribble Hub until now. At a glance, it looks better than A03 at least. Is the community there generally supportive? How active are the mods at stamping out problematic/discriminatory content?
EDIT: I just checked, it does seem to have more strict guidelines than here. Neat. Now I'm just wondering how many authors there are actually as skilled as you, haha.

I don't like it quite as much as Fimfic, but it's not too bad. In particular, a good portion of the site is extremely... young-anime-fan vibes? Which isn't my thing. But it's got a very specific niche of stories that live under the Transgender tag and includes some real gems with very good writing. (I've read all of https://www.scribblehub.com/series/181517/were-not-so-different-you-and-i/ and it's probably one of my favorite novels of the year even compared with professionally-published books).
That said, I don't venture much outside of that tag, and have much more cynical opinions of the rest of the site, haha. I've not heard of Offprint at all though, I'll have to look into it - thanks for the rec!
I dunno, sounds pretty
gayqueer.(Glad you’re still enjoying writing, especially gender-affirming writing!)
This sounds like a nice read, I'll be looking forward to checking it out.
Eeeeeee! I'm so happy to see you are okay! Thank you so much for the stories you share with us, your unworthy audience, and for revealing even more of them! Yaaaayyyyy! 💕
I've been reading your fics on Scribblehub and I absolutely adore them! (Future perfect tense is amazing and I loved trolls and tribulations) Somewhat randomly I was informed that u used to have a presence on fimfic and I was surprised :o. Even had you followed and some of your stories favorited from when I used to frequent here, so, guess I've always been a fan of your writing c:
I've mostly abandoned my presence here, but I'm very excited to read more of your original stuff on scribblehub whenever!
Cheering you on,
