But they don't make these songs just cause, they have a message to promote about a terrible event happening in the world right now. I'll copy what they said on their donation page:
The current corrupt regimes of Aliyev in Azerbaijan and Erdogan in Turkey not only want to claim Artsakh and Armenia as their own, but are committing genocidal acts with impunity on humanity & wildlife to achieve their mission. SOAD
I don't like SOAD and I seriously doubt they'd support an ethnonationalist cause for anything less than self-serving reasons — SOAD are an Armenian band — given their politics, but God bless Armenia. Karabakh was Armenian until Stalin gave it to Azerbaijan. Anyone who thinks I'll take the authority of an old, dead, seriously evil guy like Uncle Joe over the word of a people with ancient claims to this land can take their international law and stick it where the sun don't shine. Recognize Karabakh, US! What the hell are you waiting for?
