Is Star Wars: Tales of the Empire good?

    I'm genuinely asking.

To be honest with you guys, I'm pretty much done with Disney Star Wars. I've just recently finished watching the series finale of "The Bad Batch" which is a pretty decent show overall. The final season as a whole felt really slow and dull, but it was okay.

Hey, guys. Here is my review of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Just like with Rogue One, I was once again not disappointed with its intriguing story, exciting plot, and interesting new characters. Although to be frank, Han Solo is not one of my favorite characters in the Star Wars franchise; still, I actually enjoyed watching him grow and develop as we see his origin in how he met Chewbacca, and how he became this valiant and strong hero we know him as. This film may have its flaws, but it’s still a great movie in my opinion. So here are my thoughts:

1). The acting in this film was top-notch. Here, we have Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo (or at least the young version of him), Woody Harrelson as Tobias Beckett, and Emilia Clarke as Qi’ra to name a few. They all did quite an amazing performance that gave me the feeling they had fun with their roles. Also, can we all agree that Chewbacca is one of the BEST characters in these films? His mannerisms and his way of communication is just... AHHH!! Adorable and funny! And the titular character himself was actually fun to watch. Plus, I loved the interactions he had with Beckett and Chewbacca. Some of the jokes were funny too.

2). The soundtrack is good, and the story is very adventurous and exciting that can make you feel as if you’re part of the journey. Oh, and I also liked L3-37! Man, she was funny and entertaining at the same time! I really wanted to see her survive the battle, but unfortunately, she got the Rogue One fate... if you know what I mean. (Sigh)... why kill off such a good and interesting character, writers? But hey, you did a good job making me sad over her death. Just like how Michael Bay did a good job making me sad over Jazz’s death—oh wait, he was a ‘Bot with little to no personality... NEVER MIND!!

3). The plot twists actually caught me off-guard in a good way. The main villain of course was bland and unsatisfactory like how Orson was in Rogue One. (Groans) Come on, writers, stop giving us boring and bland villains and make them interesting for once! Write them well! MAKE THEM THREATENING! Anyway, the twists weren’t terrible since they actually positively surprised me. I think it was a perfect way for Solo’s character development to be completed by showing to Beckett how much he’s both grown and learned. Beckett got what was coming for him. And one more thing... kudos to the filmmakers for bringing in Darth Maul for a cameo. That was really awesome. So this movie is wonderful! It’s not as good as Rogue One, but’s it’s still great on its own. I rate it a 9/10!

Peace.
