Well it's two more days until Halloween and sadly no one answered the question in my previous blog, so here it is:
While I was at work and looking through some of the threads, an idea came to mind and I thought I would just ask and see what you all think.
This goofy question is, what do you think of the concept of maybe an alternate/future timeline that is a post apocalpse Equestria (kind of like Fallout: Equestria, but clearly not quite) with a reader character (who may or may not be related to the reader character in the main series) who encounters and interacts with monster mares within the wasteland?
Would you find that interesting or not? Just thought I would ask since it fits the whole Nightmare Night mood.
So what do you think of this idea? Please comment and let me know.

Hmmm interesting concept. Sure why not? Your stories are some of my favorites. Be interesting to see your form of Fallout.
The one caution I have is to truly make it an alt universe.
You are slowly building toward a resolution regarding the White Room and the origin of monster ponies. Perhaps add a clue or two in that side story but not spill all the beans.

5388456 Oh, there would definitely be clues as to the White Rooms and perhaps there is a connection between that and the whole Apocalyptic event.
Now I would like to ask you all, if you were a pony in a fallout like situation, what pony tribe would you (prefer to) be? Earth, Pegasus or Unicorn?

I´d want to be ... Well, I have no idea. Fallout like situation, as in the games?

Earth pony:
endurance like no ones business, strong as hell, don´t get hurt as fast(thicker bones and muscles), higher resistance against illness and other harmful stuff(venom, poison,...), can grow plants better,
Unicorn:
spells, magic flight if skilled, stab stuff ´n blow it up(ground zero blast), weakest of them ‘cuz spells take a lot of energy, can heal or disinfect wounds at least partly, teleportation if skilled,
Pegasus:
flight, can hide on/in clouds, lightning + other weather, light bones, faster reflexes, fast, can endure colder areas, probably need the least amount of food, get hurt less easily in crashes(bones more flexible?), fast natural healing and its risks, above-average eyesight, better ears,
Wait do we count thestrals?
can hear roughly where they are in absolute darkness, very good nightvision, bright light hurts their eyes, similar to Peagasi, their leather wings get torn faster then a feather one, not as fast as pegasi but more agile, eat insects as alternate food(which would be a huge boon if different kinds of ponies need to team up), probably faster reflexes than pegasi, don´t deal with cold as well as pegasi, can´t fly as high as pegasi,
Also: Everypony can be strong(body), be it pegasus, earth pony or unicorn, if their focus is on it, Tempest Shadow as example, but it would require more energy and more food.
In the end I´d want to be a pegasus, because I could hide and sleep safely in clouds and fly. Flight is a huuuge advantage if you enemy can´t fly, just drop stuff on them while diving down at high speeds, and boom, you got one of the most simple jet destructive weapons ever. Then again, if there are clouds you can just use lightning. Also, safer way of travel. I´d prefer them over thestrals, because their wings are stronger(thicker bones and skin) and they are more capable of withstanding cold. You know, nuclear winter and stuff.
If anyone got stuff I didn´t mention, please tell me. I don´t really care if PM or comment, but Rob probably doesn´t want a thousand comments just about this.
